Mike, that is a gorgeous example.
Thanks, Coindude. I just sent it away for new images.
I'll post 35 new MS Barber Halves' images before New Years.
-
Great, I can show off the new NGC coins' images:
I've been adding the new images on the Barber Thread...
I don't want to be repetitive !!
-
Bought this coin raw almost 20 yrs ago - and sent it in for grading
a few months ago.
What do you think ?
I was hoping for a MS 66 - and yes, I never expected a FBL - its not
even close IMHO.
Here is the image I had taken at NGC :

This Thread has been stuck for a week...
I don't own any Capped Bust Dimes - and I have already
posted my Capped Bust Quarters ... No Halves worth mentioning...
Pretty soon I'll be forced to display my new Barber Dime images !!
-
I got back some new images of my most recent
NGC Dime submission - photos by Todd of BluCCphotos:
More to follow...

Dean and HT,
My Eyes have officially popped out of the sockets!
WOW
OP
You can say that again.
Dean - immaculate Proof IHC - and the color !! OMG !!
HT - I am very envious of the Seated Half - that's a tough coin !!
I have always wanted to try and put a set together of Seated Halves
but finances and time are no longer on my side. I'd never be able
to finish the set.
-
OP -
That's a fantastic struck coin !!
Very clean surfaces to boot !!
Alot nicer than my MS 63 in its Rattler !!

Just picked this up for my cousin's daughter whose birthyear is 1993:
This is the Bicentennial of the Philadelphia Mint Medal issued in 1993.
PCGS 68 DCAM
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, I'm putting together a 1957 Proof Set for my cousin's wife.
Here's the first coin I am putting into that set... her birthday is in
February - and I think I should be done by then...

I've been in negotiations with a friend regarding his 1920-S SLQ,
and as I know the date in FH is prohibitively expensive, I'm thrilled
to be able to add this almost FH to my newest collection.
Sorry for the small images - its a glitch with my system and Photobucket.
I plan on having all my SLQ's professionally imaged once the set has a few
more coins in it. Its only about 45% complete so far.
-
Thanks Walkerfan... I thought it looked pretty good myself.
I also stumbled across this coin on eBay as well - and it
was a Best Offer / BIN - so - I was notified this afternoon
that my offer was accepted. Again, an almost FH - and
most of the head's details.
-
I've been adding nicely struck mid grade MS Standing
Liberty Quarters forming another collection of my favorite
design [ yes, the SLQ is my favorite design; the Barber
coins are my favorite complete series ].
Here's a nice 1928-D SLQ in a Rattler - 1st Gen. Holder -
MS 64 with decent head detail; although not as nice
as my old PCGS 66FH - it certainly considerably
less than the 66FH !!
-
The above coin is being replaced by this ...
Sorry if I already posted this... but I'm thrilled with the NEWP !!
EDITED: Yes, I did post this - sorry - but - this newp is now one of my favorites !!
-
I think I've found my new collection - Classic Head Half Cents !!
Love all of the images shown so far.
1832 ...
One of my favorite dates...
1832 Quarter - NGC 62 - Crossed to PCGS - now: MS 63

Fantastic Walker.
Do you have a link to your
Registry set ? I'd love to look
at your collection - especially
if they looked like that one !!
-
Lance,
Very nice 1892-S Half. Tough date too !
One of these days, I need to locate a Push-Out Pin;
really like your 1914 Dime.
-
A friend was selling this extremely scarce date Half on eBay and I threw in
what I considered a fair - but low ball bid. Seems that I won the coin .

Another nice Barber Elbesaar! Very nice Cent there Dean!
I'm so used to u posting Barbers that by the time I scrolled down after reading the other posts I forgot it was a SLQ. Sorry, still nice tho'.
Bobby,
I had to smile when I read the post - as I normally do post Barbers...
but long before Barbers... my Avatar was an SLQ... and it was the
prime focus of my collecting.
Also, thanks for spelling my name correctly.

I have put together a decent 1956 Proof set this week
for my 1st cousin - who was a wonderful host to me
this past Summer vacation.
He has always enjoyed coins but never actually got
overly immersed in collecting. His 12 yr old son is
very interested in collecting and I have gotten him
interested in Barber Dimes.
I completed the 1956 Proof Set this afternoon by
picking up a Cent in PCGS PR 66 RED from Angel Dee's.
[ If you know Andy & Alynne, they do not provide images.]
But... here is the rest of the set ... which will be a Christmas
present ...

Dean,
The Classic Head Large Cent is
one of my favorite coins but I never
see them in choice condition such
as the one you posted.
Great pick up - and something I
would love to see in hand !
Congrats !!
-
Bobby - look - again - its a Standling Liberty - not a Barber !!
I have assembled quite a few SLQ sets over the years and once
completed - I usually sell the set off. I am taking my time with this set.
I hope to keep it for a long time.
Here's a very small image of a 1930-P in PCGS 63+ FH ...
