Staying with 1892... but with Halves:
-
Bugmann - great Dime you posted there !!

I have only a few certified Merc's...
My Dad's birthyear:
-
jom - great looking SLQ's and Buff's... can't figure out where you find your coins.
They are all great - [ thx for the PM - I appreciate it ].

Lee,
I like your 21 Commem - I just picked one up
recently myself - in a 64 holder:
-
Thanks, Walkerfan. I received the coin yesterday and its
a nice 45 - nothing more - and the obverse toning is great.
All of my Barbers are being sent to CAC - so - I'm more than
interested in seeing the results.
I'll repost once I see the results.
-
x2rider - That's a great looking CBH - and its
got to be one of the nicest XF45's out there !!
[ I would never attempt to give the Overton number
as I don't collect that series ! ]
-
I've been working on an SLQ collection
and here's my newest addition:
-
WOW....that is VERY high end for that grade and great toning!!!
I completely agree with you.
Many of the raw coins in my old Dansco
were holdered as XF 45 when I thought they
were closer to 53-55.
I just sold off a few of my Barber Dimes to the
JMW Collection - and that sale included my better
1900-O in PCGS 58. I never see this date - and
although I have no intention of starting another
Dime collection - I just had to buy that new 00-O .

Wow, Nice Barbers, Elbesaar!Lance,
Good seeing you at the ANA in Sacramento.
Can't blame you one Iota about keeping that
1892-S Half. Nice solid coin.
I couldn't make the Sacramento show this year; business got in the way. Was someone impersonating me again?
Lance.
Lance,
The "Other Lance" is Lance Hipps - his Dad, Ed has been a fixture
on the bourse floor for years. I have picked up some great coins from
both Lance and Ed.
-
I was browsing eBay today and saw this 1900-O Dime in PCGS 45.
Knowing exactly how difficult they are to locate in collector grades,
I snapped it up.

Wow, the end of an era! What's the next challenge going to be?
(Memo to self: Save money for pre-ANA sale.)
John,
I'm working on another set of Standing Liberty Quarters.
You'll be seeing them soon enough. I'd like to pick up a
couple more coins before I send them to you for imaging.
BTW, everyone, John "Messydesk" was the photographer
of all of my Quarters - and all the MS Halves.
I think he deserves a loud "Atta Boy !! "
-
I seriously doubt I will be posting any more images of my Barbers;
all of the coins have been professionally imaged and I have decided
to sell all of my Barbers at auction, at Heritage, at the Pre-ANA this
August 11-12th.
Its been a passion for me assembling all the sets [ some in duplicate ]
and I have enjoyed the friendship of other Barber collectors as well.
I hope this Thread doesn't fade off and become lost - as I look forward to
see other posts and other collectors' images.
Happy Hunting, everyone !!
Oh, a few collectors have asked what the numbers at the bottom
of each of my posts mean - its the number of hits this Thread has
received.
59,465 - hits;
That's alot of hits, IMHO !!
-
No - I know another Lance - and I guess I mixed you up
with someone else !! [ My Bad !! - ]
-
-
I got back a few more Barber Images ...

This sat in my Danso album for 16 years -
and its absolutely stunning !!
-
Thanks Larry.
That's a great looking Isabella you've got there.
I should have another group of images to post once
I get back from the ANA in Sacramento.
Happy Hunting, everyone !!
-
Here is just about the last Quarter imaged.
I have eight Quarters at the photographer
but I won't see them for a couple of weeks.
