You can do anything as long as you buy off the right flavor of politician. Heck, the “gentle lady” from South Central Los Angeles even blew SBF a kiss at the end of a previous hearing. Nobody cares about receiving dirty money until they get caught.
And then they still don’t care because they know that they won’t be prosecuted or disciplined in any meaningful fashion.

Oh, and isn't this rich?
"Bankman-Fried’s arrest came just a day before he was due to testify in front of the House Financial Services Committee. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., chairwoman of the committee, said she was “disappointed” "
Disappointed that he didn’t give her more money before his arrest.

The Feds did nothing for weeks, and the day before he is scheduled to testify before Congress under oath....THAT'S when they notify the Bahamian authorities.
Funny how that works.

Rick used Ebay ASKING prices as a comp....I hope he doesn't mislead people
What - unheard of on TV. Just add that you need to hurry because they all will be sold out in minutes and you will have someone bite - no matter the outlandish price.

That are amazing books and I really want them in my collection, especially on paper view. Honestly, I'm obsessed with all connected to the UK, it's the country of my dream. I was so scared to emigrate but after reading some summaries here https://eduzaurus.com/free-essay-samples/summary-of-the-book-my-favorite-chaperone-by-jean-davies-okimoto/ about the book "my favorite chaperone" I understood that it's not that scary. Can someone share with me shops where I can buy it in paper variant?
This doesn’t have anything to do with coins or collecting, but to help you out:
My Favorite Chaperone is actually a short story by Jean Davies Okimoto that is part of a Literature Program published by HHM and distributed to many English speaking countriesthroughout the world, but primarily in North America. The story originally was published in a book of short stories for teenagers called First Crossing: Stories about Teen Immigrants.Jean Davies Okimoto, author of My Favorite Chaperone, wrote a novel based on the short story titled Maya and the Cotton Candy Boy which also focuses on the issues and family dynamics facing immigrants. Both First Crossing and Maya and the Cotton Candy Boy can be found on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Maya-Cotton-Candy-Davies-Okimoto/dp/0982316755 -

It’s a bit hard to find. Have you tried contacting Jean Daviess Okimoto?
Jeanie Okimoto (Jean Davies Okimoto) can be contacted by emailing her at

First time Ive ever heard of it. Thanks for sharing. Id like to watch some of those.
This is their (NNP) fifth iteration of seminars. A search for the older ones would be beneficial and I am sure that you’d be interested in many of them.

Where can the videos be found when they do upload them.
They will be in the Newman Numismatic Portal (link later) and should be uploaded in about two weeks. If you did not see the three day schedule - there were many good presentations.

It's amazing to have such a book in your collection I think. Has someone checked if it's available online? Or no?
By chance, have you purchased the book and if so, what did you think of it? I finally broke down and ordered a copy today. I’ve also pre-ordered the book on William Wyon - the one that I’m most interested in.

I have had very good response from the library recently - all by email. Quick and efficient.

2017 was a banner year for variety issues. Since then, they have slowed a bit, but no where near back to normal.

an interesting look at Laura Gardin Fraser from 1929. I enjoy her work, as well as her husbands.

As for time frame, it has shifted from 1830s to the 1790s, and now includes information on die steel alloys, circulation of foreign coins, reason Mint remained in Philadelphia, along with some later materials for power production, equipment and processes - this includes the most complete description of the large screw press used to strike proof and pattern coins until 1894.
Finally settled on a title "More Mine to Mint" -- not very creative but fits with the first book title. Haven't picked a cover illustration.
I like the change in time and the inclusion of circulating foreign coins.

Definitely a more aggressive design on the KCIII sovereign. I like both but if I had to choose I'd go with the KCIII reverse.
I’m waiting to compare both in hand before making up my mind which I like better. I always thought the lion on the QEII was a bit skinny.
-
Interesting designs/deviations from the standard sovereign reverse for 2022. Compare the QEII platinum jubilee reverse with the King Charles III memorial reverse. Like? Dislike?
-
-
Are you going to pick up the 2022 Memorial sovereign? It’s a busy design (reverse).

These are usually very good presentations and I try to watch as many of them as possible. They are also available for viewing later. The agenda looks good again this year. Good luck with your presentation.
