  1. From Mine to Mint is the best book I have bought in many years. The searchable CD turned the book into a great tool for me. It's fun to be able to zoom in and study one subject.
  2. Being a member on the boards and being a member of the club are two different things. They have nothing to do with each other. I don't think they will refund a club membership and the voucher is only good for one year. You have to use it or loose it and you can't transfer it. Best thing to do is to just use the voucher and move on. There is no reason to bash forum members on CU or for CU forum members to bash the folks here.
  3. Yes, I understand you lost by playing a game you don't understand. Many do well at the game but it's not something you just jump into and expect to do well. Take each coin and study it and try to understand what PCGS was looking at. Great way to learn. Without any proof I'll just trust that PCGS got it right. NO, I'm not "DENSE". Like others, I just understand it.
  4. If you can't be up front and honest from the start, this site is a rough road. Members here will point out false information and that's a good thing.
  5. You said they messed up all 10 coins. Why does your story keep changing? No proof, just false information.
  6. It's just a damaged coin. Nothing more.
  7. That might be best. You need to provide proof to win people over to your way of thinking.
  8. PCGS and NGC are two of the most trusted of all the services out there. They take care of problems when they mess up. They won't if the problem was not on their end. That's fair. I can't see either of these two services messing up the grade of all ten coins in a submission.
  9. Yes. List it all with PCGS grade and cert numbers. A list of what the OP thinks they grade would also be cool. I'll bet that the PCGS and NGC grades are really close. Five pages of nothing is a bit over the top.
  10. Wow. The guy ask for your help and you cheat him out of his coin. That's not very cool.
  11. Harshly cleaned is correct. Someone used something to scrub the heck out of the coin. There is no way to know what they used. That's impossible. Note the many straight scratch lines on the coin and the lack of any luster. Sure sign the coin was harshly cleaned. The coin is also covered with heavy hits. Not what I would call bag marks. The hits came from poor handling and again it's impossible to know what hit the coin. If you like the coin, enjoy it.
  12. PCGS gave it a 62. Bowers had it as AU in the auction. I'm good with either grade. Tough coin to set a value on. Not many come up for sale in this grade range. The Bowers auctions in those days were good to me. Bought a lot of scarce date Seated dimes at fair prices.
  13. I like all the different forums. Always something fun to read and learn. You don't have to like the members or the mods to enjoy the learning. All the sites are a great reference and you don't even have to be a member.
  14. My apologies to the forum for my drama in this thread. I find it hard to not defend good people. If I broke any rules, I'm sorry. I'll try to not let it happen again.
