  1. I don't have a picture of the reverse of this coin, for some reason.
  2. If it were mine, I would keep it to show to kids or new collectors, but if you are of a mind to sell it, why not list it on Ebay with a 99 cent open and see where it goes? Who knows, someone might really want it, and bid a few dollars for it. Either way, it is a nice find.
  3. +1 I think it is the same coin, too. On my phone, it looks way off. Comparing pictures on my laptop, however, it looks like the same coin with very different lighting.
  4. I haven't heard of "yinz" but I have heard "youse" being used. Question: is either of these words ever used to refer to one person? That is the thing that movie and television writers don't seem to understand about "You-all" and "Y'all." They are not used in the South to refer to one person - always to two or more.
  5. It is a perfectly legitimate word referring to something belonging to a group of people, either individually or collectively.
  6. What does the hologram label on the reverse look like? Edit: On second thought, why don't I give you the link to a thread by member Conder101, and you can look it up for yourself. That would be much more interesting than me giving you the answer. https://boards.ngccoin.com/topic/117773-ngc-slab-varieties/ The post below by Lem E of Paul's Cointalk thread is interesting, too. The answer to your question can be found in both links. Happy reading, and welcome to the forum!
  7. Is the '83 500L hard to find in grades above 65?
  8. Debris between the surfaces of the die and hub will conform to the shape of the raised areas of the hub and be pressed into the recessed areas of the die. That would mean the it would show up on the highest part of the design, as well as the field. Kurt explained it, and Roger confirmed it, but here is the description on error ref. http://www.error-ref.com/hubbed-in-debris/
  9. I believe you just answered your own question.
  10. Punctuation and capitalization are your friends.
  11. In this hobby, as in most aspects of life, hero worship often leads to disappointment.
  12. I am glad to see that this one was genuine and straight graded. Congrats!
  13. It is as stated in the above posts. Just to the left of the date you will see a tiny letter "R" incused into the surface. That signifies "replica."
  14. The amount and placement of the lines on this coin are distracting to me. I feel the same way about planchet adjustment marks on early dollars.
  15. Don't worry. We will just switch over to calling them "squished" and keep on trucking.
