March 25 - 27th
I was very excited to read in one of my coin publications that the ANA will be holding a show in Ft. Worth, TX. Living in Dallas, this will be an easy show for me to get to. I can't wait until a listing of exhibits and seminars is put up on the ANA's website!

The hold up
I work at a bank in Texas. I heard from our main vault that because the FED feels there are too many pennies backed up at the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank, we can not special order the Lincoln Log Cabin pennies. "They will be sent out when they are sent out." Wow. They specifically make these coins to commemorate Lincoln's birth and they decide not to allow them to go out..... other than the fact that you can buy them from the mint for 9 times face value! I do not order from the
My Kennedy Proof Collection
I've come a long way from my days of hoarding. I think this is a testament to our craft.... Taking the time to search out specific pieces as opposed to buying whatever you can afford that comes on the market. I don't think that there are many aspects of our world that can say that.
I have reached the 25% mark on my Kennedy Proof collection and it has been a heck of a ride. I hope to have the collection finished by the end of the year and then figure out where
1998 S Specimen
Hello, everyone. I am working on a Kennedy Proof Set and there is a coin on there called the 1998 S Specimen. Could anyone give me a hand on exactly what that is? I have looked on the websites where I buy my coins, but I have never been able to find one listed. Does anyone know where one could be purchased? Thanks for your help.

Availability
Does anyone know when the first of the new Lincoln pennies is supposed to be released? I checked the mint's website and they do not have anything that I could see. Anyone out there know? Thank you.

Looking for opinions.
Good evening, everyone. I am looking for some opinions on this coin. I found this as a reject in the coin counter at the bank where I work. To me, it looks like part of the Lincoln Memorial across Lincoln's head. The problem is that the coin is also bent a little bit at that point. I wasn't able to get a good picture of the dent.
At face value, this looks like a die clash from the mint, but I am not sure if this is possible for someone to have faked. Any opinions
Trying to keep the file size down
Good morning, everyone. I am finally getting around to posting pictures of my coins and I am running into a file size problem. I am having to use a 7.1 Megapixel camera, setting the resolution to it's lowest setting to get the files small enough to post.
Does anyone have a suggestion to getting better resolution pictures while keeping under the file size?
I attached one of the pictures that I have taken. Not bad, but the pictures come out much better wi

First journal post.
Hello everyone. This is my first post. I have recently discovered the NGC Registry and I think it is a great idea. I have been collecting (Hoarding really) for about 4 years. This registry has helped to focus in on my collecting. I have been reading everyone's posts and have gotten a lot of great tips and ideas.
I am currently focusing on Proof Kennedys and MS 65 Lincolns. On the side, I plan to collect lower grade Barber dimes to have sent off for NGC certification.
