I am very impressed with what you've done here. I didn't even know there was a "short set." True you rank # 40, but that puts you in the top 7-1/2 % of all 315 set registrants in this series and you've managed to snag one for the larger herd. Good for you!  Like me, you joined in '19 and waited (with upgrades) a year to jump in. Fourteen coins. Nice ones, too! Happy hunting!

Herewith, the ‘34 to ‘38 short set, rockin’ it old style. No slabs to be found here, just the appropriate Capital Plastics holder. I prefer FILLING Capital Plastics holders, not breaking them up. Call it a fetish. I even occasionally crack coins out of slabs, in order to put them in Capital holders. Call me a radical. Call me a dissident. I accept those descriptions as accolades.

Preeeeeee-cisely! It's not a bug; it's a feature.

The key to the short set is the ‘34D. Available in circulated condition everywhere, A strongly struck MS one will drive you up the wall.

It’s in a 1960 mint set, hard type holder. The clear covers are pretty thick.
