Nice acquisition!  I take it the coppery glow is an optical illusion.

   Yes, there are several small ticks on the obverse, at least one of which is observable at certain angles to my nearsighted eyes without magnification. There are also striations on the obverse rim that are observable in the photo in the area of the date and may be "as made" but are still imperfections.
