Just completed a small milestone from the 50s...

I began my Washington quarter collection a couple of years ago. I foolishly thought that I could complete parts of it easily, specifically the decade of the 50s. I made the last addition today to close out the 50s decade, 1955D. While I still have lots of work to do on the rest of the set, I thought Id share the coin that is the key from the decade. This one has nice mint set toning and NGC graded it MS66. This coin and is a tough date in grades over gem, enjoy!

Congrats ! But you cant just post a pic of 1 coin - thats not fair ! - post all of the 50's coins !!

That is indeed a very difficult to find! I've owned many 1955 mint sets and all of them never had a 55 D worthy of sending in accept one. This coin below graded a 66 and is super strong for that grade. Even has attractive color imo and is one I should have never sold :(.

I cant decide which one I like more - the 53-D or the 54. Both are beautiful coins. Congrats on a beautiful set !
