A fairly recent purchase - from a Goldberg's auction.

I was underbidder five years ago on the same coin

when Heritage was auctioning it off.

I bid the exact same amount now as I did back then,

and won the coin.

I sold two of my Dime sets - one to a friend - and the other

at auction. I have put together another couple of sets, one

is for my cousin's son.

Here is another newer coin :

Here are a few Barber Quarters that Valente151 imaged for me:

This is now in a PCGS 58 Holder:

Thanks, Jom.

I must have posted one or two of the Quarters when I received the

images into my Photobucket account. These were coins I had bought

during the Summer 2014 to July 4th weekend this year.

My photographer ( Valente151 ) actually imaged 87 newps and another

79 Halves that never had images taken of them. A total of 166 coins.

It took him the better part of two days - and quite a few hours editing them.

Now, I've got to send away for the hard copies - and we have discovered

that Apple has a great service and is reasonably priced. Service is fast too.

Still, it's a fast $300 + to get these done. When it's all said and done I will

be able to enjoy the images of what I once owned when I am at Shady Acres.

As they say, ya can't take it with ya.

Here's a nice Quarter - I sent it to CAC and you can see the results !

Spotted this 1907 - felt it was much nicer than a MS 60 - I submitted it to PCGS

and the coin is now a MS 62. Its been shipped to CAC for their blessing.

The big news in the Half Dollar arena is that Dr. Peter Shireman

will be selling his collection at Tampa FUN this January.

Looking forward to seeing he and his wife prior to the auction

over a bottle of wine - Looks like a few of us Barber nuts are

going - ie: SROTAG ... who is ever so anxious to watch the

results of the Shireman auction - as his set is a very close 2nd.

I've been busy studying Peter's collection and there are a few

things I'd love to own - but - they would outshine what I already

have in my set. My better Halves don't even hold a candle to his

worst coins..... sad to say...

One of my favorites in his set...far from the most expensive:

I finally got a 1909-O that works best in my set...a coin

I tried buying back in 2008 in a Heritage auction - seems

my friends were all over this but a newbie at the time bid

the largest and now he and I have been buying and selling

coins to each other ... This week, we worked out a deal on:

Not to worry... Ha ha .... I have not forgotten to continue posting my Halves

...I left off at 1896-S in 53. I'll pick up where I left off soon.

In the mean time, I picked up a coin for my Everyman set (ATS)....

a 1907-P Dime - from Vic Bozarth: a 1907-P Dime PCGS 58 & CAC.

Vic mentions that there are only two 07-P's in AU 58 that are CAC !

Paid less for this than I did for the one I used to have in my collection.

That's always a good deal !!

BTW: Hits on this thread as of 10-05-15: (267,737). Let's step up the

post count... It's looming around 2,000 posts.

Ok... My new 1907-P - thru the NGC system:
