The 1889 "V" Nickels are not for sale... sorry.

Here's a tough little dime I just picked up:

Edit to say - again I don't understand why the images are not showing;

just the attachments.

I'll retry and see what happens - sorry.

EDIT:

I'm sorry I couldn't just edit this Post

but its past its date for editing.

I had the images of the 1902-O Dime

resized. I hope they attach now.

I tried to post the image at PCGS and

the images are in the wrong file - although

its a JPEG file.

Here goes nothin'... :kidaround:

For whatever reason the file name JPEG on my PC is incorrect -

the correct name should have been JPG - and I can't change it ... :(

Here's an upgrade for my halves -

Many people forget or do not realize that the Liberty nickel is a Barber creation.

That 92 Dime evokes a melancholy emotion in me.....beautiful, muted toning...very graceful looking coin. Thanks for posting it!

Recent Purchase. Tried to find one at Long Beach show, but no 1915's better than VG, and only a handful of 1915's around at all (all low grade). This seems to be pretty tough in Unc, glad I found this one.

I hear ya, I've been looking for an upgrade for the 1915-P myself

and all I can find are VG-VF's - and I'd like an AU 58 !

Nice pick up - congrats !

Here's a NEWP for the Dime set:

Although this dime was recently graded - its alot nicer than a 63 - IMHO

...it could just as easily have been in a 65 holder - and I don't think anyone

would argue with the grade. I had the image blown up to fit the entire screen

and there's hardly any distractions - however the toning is a bit heavy but

the coin is very lusterous.

I would love to see a close-up of that '14-D. Does it look as good in hand as your pic makes it appear?

Its the first AU 58 1914-D Quarter I have been lucky enough to locate.

There are tons of MS examples - and I have a beautiful AU 55 in my set

already. Its just that I want a minimum AU 58 in my set.

As far as what its like in hand - I'll have to wait - as I just won this

coin last night at a Heritage auction [ closed 6/25/09]. I blew-up the

images on their site and its a very clean coin. You can check it out

yourself - if you're a Heritage member [ easy to join BTW ] .

Found it. I have a feeling that there might be more color than is evident in the Heritage pics - especially on the reverse. The close-ups just reinforced that feeling.

When it rains, it pours.

I was offered all but one of the missing dates

in my certified dime collection.

The images are pretty small - but here goes:

[ Can only show four images per post ]

Edit: Told you the images were small...lol.

Ok:

# 1 = 1892-S AU 58

# 2 = 1895-P AU 58

# 3 = 1899-S AU 58

# 4 = 1902-O AU 55

Continued from previous post:

Coin # 1 - 1902-S - AU 55

Coin # 2 - 1909-S - AU 58

As a side note, the 1909-S Dime is one of the

most difficult ones to locate in any AU grade.

Its a sleeper date, IMHO.
