Don't know if this image is small enough to post... Otherwise,

I have to get onto Photobucket and post thru their system.

Here's a Newp from this evening.

( too large, will post images soon)

Ok - here she is - sorry for the delay.

I made arrangements with a Forum member to do an exchange / coin swap:

My new addition for set # 4

1904-SDimePCGS55OBV-RITECH_zps88cdfd79.jpg

1904-SDimePCGS55REV-RITECH_zps1e3b96e7.jpg

I have not figured out how to crop images - but I do have professional images

forthcoming. This is a very attractive coin and much nicer in hand than on these

images.

..... this is the type of toning I love. Is it just me, or do more Barber Dimes have this toning than other types of coins ? GOD BLESS....

The coin is a nice PL - and it's hard to grade from images.

It's not a Gem, but, regardless, it's attractive.

I have not looked at any of the Newman Barbers, yet.

Knowing the caliber of the collection as a whole, my

current collecting needs are far less lofty as those in

the Newman Collection. As I always say, if I win Lotto,

all bets are off !!

:wishluck:

There are MANY affordable coins in the Newman Collection, quite shocking actually....I did not spend much time looking at just the Barbers as I did spend time looking at everything. There are $40-$50 coins in the collection!!! Shocking! Granted you will not pay $40-$50 because there will be at minimum a couple hundred dollar PEDIGREE you will have to pay for on a low end coin...

Oh, one more thing. You can't win the lotto, it's all mine!

Jeez... We could share, ya know !! :headbang:

I traded two nice XF 45's [ 1899-O & 1899-S Dimes in XF 45 & a 1913-S Dime

in VF 30 for this coin at the ANA]. I had set aside 40+ XF - AU Dimes for the

other collector to choose from !

Here's a great looking 1904-S from the swap:

I left off at 1901-O Dime - I have quite a few more to post new images of:

This coin was in a Dansco for close to 16 years before I had it certified.

I like it so well, I might never sell it - but pass it on in my family:

Love it! The AU58s are terrific...as usual. And I always did like that 01-O in XF.

Well, Jom, here are the new larger images:

Very nice coin, Mark.

I don't remember where I left off - my last post was for an XF 45 Dime.

Lets switch to Quarters - I had 20 recently imaged:

Here's a beauty I bought and quickly resold:

The new owner is so pleased with this coin that he's sending it back for reconsideration. He and I both feel the coin is undergraded.

Any opinions ? GTG !!

Thanks for the guess, Mark. I will post a few more Quarters when I get

back onto the lap top, as the iPad doesn't really work all that well for image

retrieval ( from PhotoBucket ).

Any other guesses on that 1909-O Quarter ?

No other guesses, huh ? Ok... I'll wait.

FYI - Here's an AU 53 - which I think is undergraded

and another AU 53 which I feel is correctly graded - albeit a poor strike.

I can't guess because I know what it is. Killer coin by the way.

I was VERY tempted to keep it for myself... only problem was

the bills wouldn't have gotten paid this month ... If I had enough

with me to sell - I would have though. I needed the quick flip to

make it all happen.

Here's the same date that I also sold the buyer of the above coin

... which I had in my better set...

f3a729f3.jpg

The buyer of these two coins had another 09-O in PCGS 55 with a Gold CAC.

I flew to Atlanta to pick it up as I had chased that particular coin for 15 yrs.

Yes, that's a Gold CAC sticker - once I had the coin in hand, I realized

that I had been chasing an image that had been photoshopped. I immediately

decided to resell the coin - which I did - and the coin was resubmitted to PCGS

and the coin received an upgrade to an AU 58. Its now a POP TWO in AU 58.

I had the opportunity to go thru my hard copies and realized that I am

missing images - so I copied them off my Registry set ATS - and added

them to Photobucket.

I need to go thru all my CD's and send them off to a friend who will

edit the CD's just for these coins - and have Wink-Flash produce

as good an image as I could ever hope to get:

I have 47 images to get made into prints - but - here are the first nine:

Mark,

I'm sure that is a beauty - but it needs better pictures !!

I can't take good pictures either - which is why I have a

photographer who is a professional.
