  1. I buy graded coins for the registry sets I am building but everything else that I like would be raw. I know, kinda hard to believe. I have a bunch of raw ASE's. Every year from 1986 to 2023 and a few extras. Some British and Canadian bullion. I can't help it Eagle. I even have a bunch of proof and mint sets in paper envelops. I apologize for being so unpredictable.
  2. Welcome Melani616. Another thing to be aware of is the fields on a lot of new coins are very mirrored. Light reflections can give a false look of doubling devices.
  3. Yes it is low, and the 2009 P is lower at 39,840,000 , both of these nickels are very hard to find roll hunting. I had two empty slots in my blue book for a long time. I picked up this 2009 P at a shop outside of Charlette NC for $3. I find that is the average price for BU coins almost everywhere I go. This is a strong MS66FS in my opinion and if it was graded on a sunny Friday afternoon after a long liquid lunch it may get a 67 if everyone was happy. ..LoL.. I never send in coins anyway. I buy coins other people have spent money on to have graded. It will be in the blue book if anyone needs it .
  4. I found a Nickel that is not very common tonight. The 2009 D has a very low mintage of 46,800,000 so you do not find them a lot roll hunting. It is not good looking but it is a modern rarity
  5. It does not look like a scratch to me. It looks more like a strikethrough or a heavy hit that did not break the copper plating.
  6. It looks like a normal cent with a bit of wear.
  7. Yes I also think it is a 66 RD, Welcome back Greg I hope you are well
  8. Yes, In the old days, at many places when you worked for someone full time that was your job . Moonlighting was not allowed.
  9. I used the link ,Thanks . The coins are stunning , very nice set.
  10. It could be a end cut planchet. It looks copper to me. The obverse is worn what does the reverse look like?
  11. Big points for that SP coin, It sure is a nice one. I have been following the 97 SP but it just keeps bidding out to high for my pocket.
  12. Wow I thought my penmanship was bad .This is real hard to read.
  13. This is most likely the same problem that Bob was talking about , Not a DD
  14. So I guess that makes the premium for those Morgan's a bit overrated.
  15. That is the term we use when a coin is worn in this manor. Looking at the edge of the obverse and the center of the reverse you can see it has been stuck in some type of machine where the coin has been spinning around.
  16. Kurt , It could be that when you get the bigger NGC membership you can get some grading done for free with the $150 credit and new members want to use that up?
  17. That is almost like it is from the same die, close anyway , Maybe the San Francisco proof die got worn out and they sent it to Denver.
  18. That is a tough one to tell. It could be some of the devices have a double serif . I have also seen the same look from reflection of to much light on a USB scope and when you change the coin angle the doubling goes away. I could not find this look in any past listings of a 76 D .
  19. It is a nice coin but not worth sending it in. It also has a damaged rim on the reverse along with other nicks and scratches. You could buy another coin for the money you will have to spend to have it graded. Just my opinion Lee.
