  1. I will keep a look out thanks. I was born on this sand bar and 40 to 60 mph winds are a normal part of the weather here we call them gale force winds. Then we have the NorEaster in the fall and winter and that is the same as a hurricane.
  2. No PC and No smartphone ? How do you get on to the NGC Forum............Telepathy
  3. I will check out some of the local shops but being on the east coast it is not likely there will be any.
  4. I am not a big fan of the Ike's just because it is hard to find nice ones. To much field and skin. I have some in proof sets and a about 25 loose circulated random dates. This is my nicest one.
  5. LoL it will be 50 years this December. I talk to everyone the same way and my wife is used to that.
  6. They will look, if I ask for customer rolls of coins but they are not as plentiful this time of year. Yes that SBA is a keeper it has a nice cartwheel it looks like a 55-58 to me with the rim hits. Still a good quality coin for a 44 year old circulated piece
  7. Just being nice and my new haircut helps
  8. Ah but the woman know what these coins are. The younger generation or girls do not see what they are they see them as a problem that no one want's.
  9. I love it..... I had to go to the bank today. I always ask the girls if they have any strange coins they want to get rid of. It is always fun to see what they come up with. This is what I got today.
  10. Yes in the sixty's people around here used Morgan's like they were money to buy things. Not always, Everyone tried to keep the coins and spend the paper but when times are tough a dollar was a dollar and you could get a lot for your buck.
  11. Yes Eagle, I think the last three are from the same die. It is nothing to write home about, but a bit more light hearted in comparison to some of the treads we have been dealing with lately.
  12. It is kinda windy and rainy with Lee barking at my door so I thought I would do some roll hunting. I have some new bank rolls. It is always fun to find die cracks in different stages all in the same roll. Hard to say if it is the exact same 2023 P die but it is close and still fun to do on a rainy day. Coin collecting just for the fun of it. The first shot is a different die. the crack is to high. I think the last one is a better match.
  13. But is it a true Morgan? Is it a commemorative coin as listed ATS. Here at NGC it is a Anniversary coin or Medal ? I used to get Morgan's on my paper route from customers to pay the weekly bill. At the bar people use to buy drinks with them.( I grew up in a bar that's how I know) I am not sure it is quite the same thing, Eagle.
  14. From this photo it looks like two coins slapped together in my opinion . Now you say this quarter you posted is not the same quarter we have been talking about ? What is the point of people trying to help you out if you are not honest. Most people post pictures to try to find the truth not to play games. Photo's can be deceiving that is why everyone makes there judgments on what is posted on good faith .It looks to me that this may be a payback thread .
  15. When I was a kid the 5 cent coke machines were everywhere. But then again almost everything was 5 cents
  16. Sorry , I have not seen these anywhere in my travels.
  17. Not a clue. I did look it up without finding any information on them. I am sure if you have enough money you can have any thing printed if there is room on the slab.
  18. Wow. If that picture had been shown on the first page it would have ended all the chatter about this fake coin.
  19. I picked up this set at a dealer in NC couple of years ago for $16. I think you can find the same ones online at close to the same price. I would just leave the ones you have in the book and try for another set. or just get some slabbed already.
  20. The intent of going to the coin shop is to look for coins to purchase. Finding a $25 coin in a box for $5 I think is a worth while adventure. 115 miles is a bit far I agree . I shop local mostly but when I travel it is more convenient when you are near a coin shop to swing by. I also have many pocket coins that I save.
