I don't know if they still do it or not, but the old Red Books used to have a feature that provided the values of all such books from their inception to date, as collectibles.
Yes there is still a listing in the back of the book for Red and Blue books. The 1997 50th year I posted was the first year of the spiralbound softcover. It is not worth more than $2 but still a collectable

I am not sure if this is the real deal but try this link to compare your coin.

In regard to this I just scoped my Bicentennial and there is a clear DDO as well as the die crack error creating an image on the obverse and reverse. Doubling is very clear. There may be some strike through grease as well. I am replying to remind myself to post when I return. I will post the pictures then. I am still new but also found 2 1998 potential wounded eagles with DDO as well in really good condition to have been circulated. Should I post here or in coin section? Still new to forum.
Post your questions, just make a new thread.

Yes, perhaps someday I may find an old Roger Burdette book to add to the collection.

Well to me it looks like you have a clipped planchet cent. it is nice shape. Sometimes you can see a weak strike on the opposite side of the coin, but this clip is very small and did not weaken the strike much. Nice find.

If you are looking for DDO I do not see it in this coin. You may have a clipped planchet coin, but I cannot tell without seeing the reverse.

You have some very nice looking cents. They are worthy to be saved for a coin collection folder, but not good enough to spend money on grading in my opinion. I also think you did a good job responding to Henri's post

🐓 : You do realize this Topic is now 38 posts down the list, don't you?
Q.A.:. That's too bad because as of 10:47 a.m., today, Thursday, May 13, 2024, I am the very first member in recorded NGC history to place $2.000 in cash in a stamped envelope, unregistered, uninsured, uncertified with no tracking number to place an "order" to a coin emporium I am not a member of, deal with a principal and his associates without ever having inquired as to the availability of the item sought beforehand, not once exchanging texts, receiving an order number, without ever having met, spoken to, or writing to a place I had no prior experience with in a city in France that was previously unknown to me...and having the merchandise delivered to my door on time and on schedule. (Yes, I tipped the courier.)
I haven't opened up the package. I don't need to do that right away. Right now I am sitting in the park, crowing. Inside that envelope is an essai, a (test) pattern, etain (tin) uniface which those members rooting for me have already seen: hexagonal, undated, unlisted, a Top Pop 1/0, graded SP-62 -- UNIQUE.
Added Bonus: NO CUSTOMS!
Some of you thought the very worst. What can I say? I am sorry to have disappointed you. Now, uncle z can put the strait jacket away. And the whole Forum can heave a heavy sigh of relief.
To my many detractors, this was MISSION IMPOSSIBLE. To me it is MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Secretly, I already knew it was a fait accompli.
🐓 : Fine. Can we eat now?
Q.A.: Oui, With crepe suzette for dessert. Man, I love this place!
(Posted at the Discretion of Moderation.)
So,is there a package ? Have you opened the package ?

The small picture sure makes the 4 stand out more.

I think that picture is good looking and so is the coin. If more of the coins in the collection look like this one, I would be happy.

I am confused, I thought a mule was a coin struck with a reverse die from a different denomination a previous or an upcoming year, I do not see anything like that in this 1999 cent posted.
-
The original SMS nickels were only produced for 1965,66 and 67 never for 1964.
-
I agree with I.cutler this is not a DDO just a circulated 1955 cent.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER HEARD ANYTHING LIKE THIS.
PROOFS ARE GRADED ROUTINELY SO WHY WOULDN'T A GOLD "Business Strike" BE WORTHY OF GRADING?
I think Ricky should get Henri a Red Book

I do not recommend sending in the coins until you know what you have. Any coin in a case or holder should be left alone for now. You can post pictures here of any coins you have a question on the members would be happy to help if you post one coin per thread both sides close cropped shots.

I started my one per date Morgan collection as a MS 63 and up collection. I was able to collect quite a few coins before the market started climbing. I soon realized that some of the coins were very expensive and hard to find in MS. So I started to look for alternative coins to fill up the slots on the set. I now have a VAM and a O/CC and some MS 61.and 62, a 58 and so on. I am still hunting for that 93 and 95 that will work on my budget. In my opinion settling for lesser quality coins on the paper label is not that important, I have some great looking lower grade coins that are in their own class, and I am happy with that.
Have ten 1992 close AM pennies all either (D)(p) mint marks some red some red brown two of them just in really good condition almost proof witch should be graded if any

Lj89 I think the person who graded your coins is sending you on a wild goose chase. It would be wise to post clear close shots of the coins you want to send in. The odds of having one 1992 CAM are extremely high let alone having ten of them..
I think the OP has been here before, the lack of punctuation and rambling reminds me of previous posts.
