  1. I enjoy his posts. He is one of the few who prompts me to get out my dictionary πŸ™‚
  2. LOL, she (the dog) never missed a beat. She doesn't know why she runs crooked, she's just happy to be running, I guess.
  3. You come on anytime you get ready.. But you are gonna wear safety glasses the whole time! I can do blood, guts, and bones, but I cannot do eyeballs. We came home from a soccer game one night and our dog's eyeball was hanging out of her eye. Since then, I cannot do eyeballs. No siree, Hog!
  4. I am just glad I was finally right, lol. I talked myself outta being right so much it is still a little iffy,
  5. Thank you! I am surely not worried about any premium. I'm just glad I finally found something real! Lol Thanks for the disclaimer, but I think you know it wasn't required, lol.
  6. Oh, don't worry, Mr. Mashoke, I ain't a bit shy about posting, I just hate to worry everybody over nothing. Lol
  7. I know! That's why I didn't want to post it, but I sure don't know. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
  8. Okay, so, while looking through quarters on my quest for an infamous "W", I came across this little diddy. I really didn't even want to post this because my eyes see all kinds of things that aren't there on occasion, but I didn't have anyone else at home to tell me whether or not this is the error for the 2005 Kansas State Quarter. Yes, I looked it up and it APPEARS to be, but I can't be too sure of anything these days. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜Š
  9. I haven't had much luck today either. I must be having an off day πŸ˜‚
  10. You know, I could almost tell exactly what it was gonna look like from the detailed description, lol. Good work, Lem E. 😊
  11. LOL, how can you put a price on such priceless information? Thank y'all for all you do πŸ‘πŸ˜
  12. I really don't know because I am still waiting on him to answer my question as to the whereabouts of the 1943 wanna be penny worth one cent πŸ˜‚. We will just have to put your question in que.
  13. Oh, gosh, talk about being confused... I'd love to see how some people I know would actually deal with all that unorganized chaos in there. They'd probably all steer clear of me then,
  14. I know, right? Tons of them. I also saw some charms that were quite similar.
  15. I am so sorry. I do have a knack for that, especially when I am trying to text/type cause my mind is doing laps around my fingers. I totally agree with the proper terminology from the start because it is so hard to unlearn ANYTHING. I was just saying that I understand cent to be a value, with no physical characteristics but the penny to be a physical symbol given to represent that value. I'm sorry I went around the world to say that before but if you'd seen all that was in my head while I was typing you'd thank me for the short version, lol.
  16. I will not claim to know what it is called, nor what it is made of, but it resembles thing that the Indians would put behind the arrowhead on an arrow to make it protrude further into the flesh when they hunted. I've only seen one and for just a very short time at an Indian Pow Wow
  17. I just can't help it. I have got to put in my two "cents" 🀣... Personally, as long as I know what you are talking about, I don't care what they are called, but then again I like to I choose my battles. However, I do enjoy a good debate, so, for those purposes only, I am gonna chime in. In the scenario below, the person, whom we will call Pat since gender is unknown, has three pennies/cents, one nickel, and one dime. Pat is in line to get a piece of bubble gum. He is hoping to have enough symbols of monetary value in his pocket to afford it. The cashier says that $. 18 (which normally, in the U.S.would be stated as 18 cents) should be remitted as payment. Now, does Pat leave the store with a broken heart and bad breath because of the lack of 18 "cents" (remember he only had three cents/pennies) or does Pat leave ready for a date and give the cashier the coins within his/her pocket with a value equal to $. 18, the amount due? So here we are... The prefix cent means 100th, or one part of 100,right? So, in my mind, one cent is the amount equivalent to one hundredth of one dollar. Its physical symbol just happens to be what we coined as the penny. Had we coined the nickel to be that equivalence, then it could also be a cent. So I said all that to say this, IMHSO, I feel as though cents are values and pennies, nickels, etc. are symbols of such values. I hope y'all can understand this because my mind was talking way faster than my hands could type. If not, well the meaning (value) of my words (symbols) weren't coinciding πŸ˜‚. Have a spectacular day!! I am headed to town.
