  1. Here where I live they use voter registration for all trial juries.
  2. It's a very old thread from 2015. I don't think they are doing it anymore.
  3. I love it here where I'm located also. It's a wonderful place to live. You can't beat the people here. Most of them anyways. We got a few we'd all like to run off. Most of our winters are nice. We get cold days and snow but we get alot of mild days also. It's some very beautiful country around here to. All of you all are welcome here anytime. We'd love to have ya.
  4. I've noticed that the graded coins definitely bring a larger premium. The 1916 D is definitely worth sending in if it is authentic. I'm still fairly new to collecting but I've learned alot in the past couple years. However there are some experts on here that can help you much better than I can. I've learned alot from these guys.
  5. I went ahead and kept it. Everyone on here made me feel better about it not being cracked open and switched out. I've never seen an open slab and didn't know they couldn't be cracked open without making a mess of it. Ive done got a replacement on the way for my set I won in auction. I'll keep the other in my miscellaneous coin box. It's not eating nothing sitting there so all in all I'm happy. That was a real deal you got on that proof. Nice coin my friend.
  6. What do they mean by Modified Proof on the Canada coin? I could probably look it up but I like making conversation. I enjoy talking to all of you all. I've learned a whole lot on here. I really appreciate all the knowledge everyone has shared with me.
  7. Forgot to say also I got the Pride of 2 nations set. I think I showed it on another thread but here it is again. I love this set. Was thinking about trying to get the same 2 coins again released by Canada but what's the use. It's in NGCs set registry. I done have the American released ones. Rather spend my money on trying to complete my Washington quarter run.
  8. They was really mad when LemE, Ray, Sharann, and I had that W quarter competition. I would stop in 3 or 4 times a day sometimes trading our quarter rolls.
  9. That's why they puff and blow. Head shaking. Some get a little rude. There is one bank I go to though that has the sweetest old lady I ever seen. She just smiles and is very nice. She got to where she asks me now, "How many do you need," before I even say anything. She always tells me it's no problem and it's a pleasure. She always ask me how many I found also. Just a wonderful lady. Sweetheart of a person. Then there's one at the same bank that its the awfullest thing ever to have to lay her dohnut down for a coin hunter.
  10. They always hate to see me coming at all the local banks around here. They go to puffing and a blowing when I exchange rolls. We aren't seeing the shortage here just yet.
  11. That's how I buy. I've over paid many times buy I got coins I like. I got them to collect. I will pass them on to my kids one day and they will not have a dime in them. They may make them a good profit off them sometime in the future or they may pass them down.
  12. That's a beauty my friend. I've been planning on adding one of those to my collection. I like the design of those.
  13. This coin here was the very first commerative coin I ever bought. Bought in an auction and it was slabbed. Got it because it was my birth year. I really like the design of old George on the horse. Old George is everything a leader should be. That was back when you didn't have to worry about hurting people's feelings. I'm glad they used him in my birth year.
  14. I'm also working on an innovations dollar set. Just the proofs and reverse proofs as the mint comes out with them. I've got them all so far. I'm more than likely gonna get the uncirculated ones soon as well. Just haven't yet.
  15. I've done this as well and won a few coins I really wanted badly. I lost a couple of them. But I've won more than I've lost.
  16. I noticed the one I got from the mint had a little spot on it. There no way it would get a 70. It would only get a 69 if it were ever sent in. It's not bad or nothing. Just enough to make it not get a 70.
  17. Sounds like a great idea. I won an auction at GC I haven't paid yet. Might try to negotiate a better price. I had it won from the beginning. If that last bidder wouldn't have bidded such a high price in the last 3 seconds I'd been good. Lol There sure are some crazy people out there in this old world.
  18. That's pretty cool. I really liked them and the idea of them as soon as I saw them. And people can afford to collect them. That's another thing I like about them. You can get them at a great price. My kids really like them also.
