  1. It is rough trying to eat. Usually get popcorn and stuff in it. Lol. When go to eat breakfast you can eat biscuits and gravy all day.
  2. Thank you for the information my friend. May do some experimenting on some junk coins.
  3. Thank you LemE. That was some great info. First time I have heard that. I haven't read or studied on none of the individual coins yet. Still reading on the minting process and reading on some stories out of some really old magazines. They have got some awesome articles in them. A little bit of everything. I been enjoying them a whole lot. I'm eventually gonna start reading about individual coins. I think im gonna quit fooling with most moderns and start collecting some of the older Washington quarters. Pre 64. I really like that design. I really like the Jefferson nickles also. I may grab some of them also if I get a chance. But that was some great info. Thanks for sharing that with us. Those are some very nice coins you shared also. Appreciate it my friend.
  4. He's a really good person. He probably would. He can probably tell you anything you want to know about them. Thats what he mostly collects.
  5. Is that what they call zinc rot? When it gets those holes in it.
  6. Outta check out some of LemE's nickles. He has got a sweet collection of them going on. I'd say when he gets back on here and sees this post he may post a couple for you to see that has full steps. If you talk to him real nice. He's got them in the registry. I can't speak for him or nothing but he's a good dude. He probably wouldn't care. As long as you don't get mean or nothing.
  7. Thank you that info Justbob. I got some cents I wanna try to conserve. Nothing very special but some I'd just like to get some gunk off of. I'll soak them and thankfully I got some rose bushes outside. That's the first time I've heard of that. Does it matter if the thorn has been dried out or still green? Just taking a wild guess I figured a green one probably wouldn't break as bad. And still be a little bit soft and limber.
  8. Asking these questions and showing pictures is a great way to learn. Noone will be disappointed in you. Most on here are happy to help someone who really wants to learn.
  9. It's OK. It would cost you more to send it then it be worth. I really appreciate the offer tho.
  10. Be a good album coin to keep. I always keep ones like that even if they are not worth anything for my personal collection. Still a cool find.
  11. Your gonna like that album. They are very fun to fill up. Trying to find the coins for them. Good luck to you my friend. Hope you find some good ones. Happy hunting.
  12. I thought it was a beauty. I would be very happy to fill a slot in my album with one like it. If u get one of those albums off Ebay make sure u get it off someone with good feedback. There's alot of crooks on there. There are plenty of very good sellers also. Just gotta be careful.
  13. Great Collections is a great auction. Can usually get some good deals. I've bought a few from them.
  14. I feel very lucky to have got one of the 2020 v75 eagles. Like to never got thru. Missed out on the 2021 eagles. The electric went out and the wifi was down. The local cell tower was also down.
  15. I been working on a Whitman. Been slowly working on it looking for just the perfect coins for it. Ive been enjoying putting it together very much. Found 1 really nice woodie for it so far. Sharann would absolutely love it to put one together. The fun she has searching thru them. And found some dandys that would be perfect for one. Outta get u one Sharann. They aren't very much.
  16. I agree. I was just looking to see what the prices were running at. Had several listing from reputable dealers saying it had a low mintage and is a key date. It is got some pretty high prices on it.
  17. I looked at some of the 1914 Ds on Ebay and it said it's a key date. Low mintage
  18. Love the look of the woodies also. I found one a few days ago and put it in a Whitman album. It was a sweet looking 1965 in about uncirculated condition.
  19. There is a whole lot to learn in this hobby. I'm finally getting to where I can identify things better and know some of what I'm looking for. I've read a few books and learned the minting process and I've learned a whole lot just reading the post on this forum. And helped to take a few guesses at some of the questions asked to see if I was right or not. I'm learning a whole lot. You definitely will also. I can tell you really have a passion to want to learn. Your gonna be a great Easter bunny. The kids are gonna love ya. Have a wonderful night and happy hunting. Hope you find some good ones.
  20. I have a 2019 W Lowell in ms 65. PCGS if anyone is interested in it. Not looking for anything special. I just have duplicates of it and would be interested in anything of equal or slightly lesser value. Another slabbed coin.
  21. Yes ma'am you are very welcome. I've had a wonderful day. Hope you have had as well. I been putting all my certified coins in slab protectors today. I ordered a pack and it came in today. Gave me a chance to look thru all my coins. And got to do some reading as well. And take a nice little walk thru the forest to look for deer sheds. It's been a great day. I thank the good Lord for every day he gives me.
  22. It is a July 1941 issue and you are right. The auctioneer selling the the 31 and 32 was Kossoff. I cant find the issue again that had the 1907 in it but I remember it talking about it being Arabic. Ill post a picture of the page with the auction results. It's very cool and interesting. It's also got results from Bolender and Mehl. Very interesting stuff for people who want to see it
