If you are talking about the silver eagle, no. There is absolutely no difference between the regular "S" proof eagle and the eagle that is issued with the limited edition set. However, if you play the label game, as most eagle collectors are forced to do if you want a complete set, then yes. There will be a diffrernce. In the label only.
YES SIR you hit the Nail on the head!! i need to go into the garage and get my soap box now hold on a minute..................

Is there a difference between that one and the regular issued one?

Even if I lost all of my $600 investment, which is doubtful, this would not be a huge loss. I don't get it.
If you are buying coins and think that you are going to make a quick turn around and make money you will be sadly mistaken. I would tell you to take your $600 and put it in the savings account and you will make out better....For example I bought a very nice MS 64 1927 D peace dollar at a show for $1100 and went 6 or 7 tables down the row and they guy offered me $700 for it........ i told him i just bought it for 11 and he said he couldnt get anywhere near that price.......just an example...

Did they give you the option to send it to NCS? humm i don't think it matters she is a good looking coin. Have it slabbed and be be proud of it as a nice coinn.

would you just skip this proof in general?
i would skip most modern proofs 50 ish through now.. unless they were Ultra Cameos. most through the 50 and 60 in brillant proof or only like $5 - $10 each...

do you think that most of the buffalo proofs from that year look roughly like this? Or do you feel that there should be better examples of this proof?
Not all will look this way you can find that some high grade buffalo's will tone to lovely hues of aqua, rose, and gold. some will stay shinny it all depends on how they were stored and what environment they were in. the Indian's once they go brown i have found will tone the same way. where if you find them in the RB category they may have a crackling toning on them which is not my preference. However it may be someone else's. where as the Reds can really look firery..

Oh boy!!! don't get me started on this!!! ALL of these FDOI, Early Release, First Strikes, Centennial set, anniversary set..etc.. Is a bunch of ! . These have been invented by some genius salesperson created by television hucksters and the TPGs went along with it. It is just a bunch of garbage and ruining the hobby for people just starting out thinking that they have something special. Moreover the TPGs are giving them a separate category in their price guides. WHY!!! they aren't special they are the same as the regular issue. Also just because you have s special label that you paid extra for DOES NOT MEAN that that coin is any more valuable....LABELS do not make the price of a coin. This garbage has gone far enough. STOP THE INSANITY!! with these labels

No that is a good price for this one. As a matter of fact the Obverse on this looks really good. Strong Liberty clear date. you can see the ribs of the feathers, plenty of hair detail and a strong braid and tie and definition on the bow. a little scuff on the cheeck but minor... I like it
