...is hard as HECK to find in a good higher grade. I have numerous lower grades I won't bother post nor send in for grading. I have patiently went over dozens of my auction houses, I REFUSE to use feebay for any reason what-so-ever, looking for a 5c 1959-D MS 66-70 5FS or 6FS(priority) or even not a FS coin but being a MS 69-70. Who'd a thunk it. ....end of observation.

During my interest, and doing, of AU prospecting you learned that we didn't treat out own waterways and natural resources with the respect they deserved either. Our forefathers pretty much raped the land as they saw fit. Has anyone had any experience with purchasing coins from Australia whether via auction house or private seller ? If the coin is valued under US$100 and only a 1959 do you think customs will be a issue ? Trying to add to my 59' World coin collection. Thanks Ed G.

I recently sent a 47' in, they received it today, and it has a slight bit more wear on the Rev than yours but the Obv to me really stands out. I think these are the type of coins that look 100 times better in hand. Such a "chocolatey" brown !

This whole thread about feebay is why I dropped them 16 years ago and never looked back as a seller(non-coin related) and as a buyer. There are numerous other places to sell and buy than that pit.

Waiting on a upgrade from GC I won recently, 1959 Jefferson Nickel NGC MS-66 5FS, it's a nice bump on pts jumping from a MS 65 5FS. I was very happy with the cost about roughly 27% of it's listed value(400) which includes the premium and s/h. (at least in my lil' world) .....also keeping a eye on another at Heritage but it's a 4 digit one....but ya never know.

Although I appreciate the personal reply I was also wondering what it would take to implement a persons credit balance on their profile somehow so as not to bombard NGC with a persons updated balance. Is this possible in the future ?

How does a person find out how much "credit" they have left on their membership for submissions and what-not ? I'd think there would be a balance on the members account page but there is not. I haven't used the current years credit so I'm at the max but it may be a nice feature to add in the future. Thanks

Looks my last year for membership, I'll submit a few coins to burn my "credit" but I believe that will be the last of it. When people buy into something just for profit it doesn't end well for the end user. I can speak from recent experience as a 100+ year old American firm IH(International Harvester aka Navistar Truck & Engine) just completed a merger deal that makes VW/Traton the owner and my contract is up 2023 and I've been in enough meetings to know the writing is on the wall. @Quintus Arrius ... being a person who has had the displeasure of doing such a act and releasing funds to something that utterly fell flat on it's face my only recourse was to accept my sheer ignorance of coins and realize that the $450 and subsequent fees from the TPG was a hard lesson and it's value at best $17 and that coin waiting in line for the firing squad ...literally. Another occasion was a 4 digit $$ coin that was purchased under the pretense that it's value was greater and upon evaluation at best $125, thankfully the seller admitted the coin faults and reimburse me. Although these aren't example of a submitted coin being found only worth face value I think the ratio is close enough for comparison. For me it's been about realizing my ignorance of coins and their monetary value. I have some coins/tokens that I'm sure I paid a bit extra for but those were ones I felt a more "personal" connection with and the cost was a nonissue. I recently posted a few coins to hopefully start some sort of conversation but as always it turns into a ...you got screwed, not worth it, don't send in, looks fake, looks cleaned, awesome, lucky dog....etc. People say...Buy a slabbed coin and you won't get screwed but what do I learn from that ? Other than 2 groups of people (seller/TPG) made money off of my purchase. I didn't join NGC and PCGS for people to point and go..."Buy that, you won't get screwed". I came here to attempt to learn and at times it falls short. ...well, I just noticed a rant forming so I'll stop. To answer question directly: It's worth is...A Hard lesson & at times a costly lesson and a reminder to slow down, get advise and research for the future ones. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for input. I bought this awhile back because of the Rev and a very fair price, not a resell-able item....unless someone gets silly. As for being a fake or cleaned it is not. The lighting (desk lamp & sunshine) used reflected more than I thought hence the reason I think folks feel it's been cleaned. it is duller ?subdued? than the images portray. Thought looking at something other than a 82' cent or a countless "is this a die chip?" or "is my 2020 dime worth anything?" would break things up a bit. thanks again.

Updated - one less ASE 2021 MS70

I've had this coin and another recently posted for awhile and just getting around at looking them a 2nd time-3rd-4th time . Would a XF be too much ? I've always liked the Rev and it's layout...filled in but yet proportionately done, enjoy looking at it. Of course a 50 grade would be fantastic but I think the XF is a fairer statement. ....and once again please excuse images, phone camera. Thoughts ?

As mentioned, Am I asking too much for a VG on this 10c ? or is G the best this will see ? Although not the best images they do display what condition the coin is....in all it's softness.

A MS67 will look like this(price guide $215.00 but lower price on market)....and regardless of condition these do hold a bit of our American history within them, so at least they hold these qualities.

If the 3rd image is a leg I would recommend staying out of the sun and some moisturizer be applied. ....and yes, the 25¢ piece has seen better days too. value = 25¢

I have to agree w/VKurtB, I have never really understood the desire to collect a faulty imperfect coin. Why would I want to hold a beautiful rose in my hand if half the petals are missing ?

Back from vacation, reopened.

Along with a Mexican G50 Peso I have one my favorite U.S. Mint ones is a 2015W G$100 High Relief. Part of me wishes it was not slabbed so I could feel the depth on my fingertips. It is, I think, a very beautiful coin. It is my intent to get the other 3 years that is currently available in High Relief when budget allows.

Given the limited quantity and excessive pricing I'm not concerned at all. I won't be purchasing anything from the Mint for a long time I think. This includes any bullion, cheaper to pay for slabbed Au or Ag at auction houses.
