Greenstang got a reaction from JT2 in 1965 error dime
I agree, damage from the crimping machine when sealing the package.
It must have been too close to the edge when being sealed.

Greenstang got a reaction from Hoghead515 in 1982 small date copper with Dim D mint Mark ?
Going by the video, that is a Philadelphia Mint cent. There is no sign of a genuine D MM

Greenstang got a reaction from GoldFinger1969 in Fake or real
Except for some damage and Grease Filled on the reverse, it looks genuine to me.
That is the large lettering variety.

Greenstang got a reaction from JT2 in 1969 D Lincoln Memorial Penny with Floating Roof and missing FG
This Forum is for buying and selling coins, have asked a mod to move to the proper forum.
As far as your Cent goes, it has a little value over face. Floating roofs are quite common and can occur on any year Lincoln Memorial cent, in fact they are not even recognized by the major grading companies anymore Keep it as an example if you like though.

Greenstang got a reaction from The Neophyte Numismatist in Kennedy half dollar damage
Welcome to the Forum.
If a coin is damaged, it doesn't really matter how and you may never know how unless you were there at the time. Damage is damage.
Most times damage makes a coin a cull coin and is a spender.

Greenstang got a reaction from Coinbuf in 1963 Closed AM Lincoln Cent
All 1963 Lincolns are a WAM
All1993 Lincolns are a CAM
This is what you are showing in your photos.

Greenstang got a reaction from The Neophyte Numismatist in 1999 state quarter error question
Agree that it is Machine Doubling (aka strike doubling) a worthless type of doubling.
In the future, please reduce the magnification on your photos, bigger isn’t always better.
Anything you can’t see at 10X is irrelevant anyways.

Greenstang got a reaction from Fenntucky Mike in Possible 1990 no S proof penny?
Welcome to the Forum
Not a proof CENT. Just a regular Philadelphia minted 1990 Lincoln with some circulation wear.

Greenstang got a reaction from GBrad in Can anyone explain this ?
It looks raised which means it is some sort of a die gouge.
-
Greenstang got a reaction from Sandon in 1922 D cent possible bronze planchet?
2.99g is within spec for a Lincoln copper coin.
You can’t tell the composition by the colour as copper can change to many colours, depending on what is has been exposed to. Certainly not worth spending $50-60.00 getting graded when it is only worth a couple of cents.

Greenstang got a reaction from Coinbuf in 1990 d penny
Could also be Die Deterioration Doubling as everything is running towards the rim.
Doesn't really matter though as both are a worthless type of Doubling.
-
Greenstang got a reaction from Hoghead515 in do many wheat pennies have LBY on Lincolns chest?
The “L” in LIBERTY is close to the rim on all Lincoln’s up to 1969 when the master die was reworked and moved away from the rim. It doesn’t take much wear for it to be almost touching. I don’t know why people selling on eBay or YouTube think this is an error when it is common.
-
Greenstang got a reaction from Runf42 in A question about the order of lettering on the edge of same coins
The edge lettering is randomly put on by a different machine so the lettering could be in different positions and orientation.

Greenstang got a reaction from Hoghead515 in Silver 2005 Quarter Found
If it were silver, it would weigh 6.25g
What you have is regular quarter that has been plated

Welcome to the Forum
Always show both sides of the coin when posting along with the weight to two decimal points.
The weight can tell you if it is silver or not but as bssHog40 stated, what makes you think it is silver.
