  1. I’ve seen some Soviet coinage get some high demand bidding prices in auctions …. You have look into mintage and dabble around in that field to see what is in demand with certain collectors … it’s a small crowd of collectors in that sector
  2. Sorry you feel that way … wait ! Nah I’m not ….. countless people chimed in on this topic , yet you still have doubts about useful information we gave you on here … you’re not following through with the hobby you want to strike it rich $$$ with some odd end coin that you do not have !!! Some of guys who chimed in on this topic been collecting longer than I have before my mother and father ever thought of having me ….. they studied this series they strictly told you do NOT have what you think you have …. Then you tell us about “3 dealers” you went to see they confirmed it as well …. Nah! that’s a B.S story we smelt miles and miles away we don’t believe that we aren’t that Naive !!!! I’ll stand behind some of long time collectors on here and their judgment am I testing the waters no I don’t find anything funny , more of pity when someone just don’t want take useful resources and advice on here …They rather mock our hobby and the collectors on like we don’t know anything or we are naive about the advice we give on here to a newbie… stubborn people on here are met with criticism sometimes … that goes on every at coin forum I wish you luck submitting your coins or whatever but don’t be surprised when they come back VG 8 or VG 10 and a big bill for grading fees…. basically you’re delusional sums it up …. Have a nice day
  3. At work I put this up in my office when I get some stubborn workers ! 🤦‍♂️
  4. Probably hassle move all coins to safe every night … by sounds of it looked like he had pretty large inventory …. Sorta reminds of Julian’s coin shop that guy had tons and tons of coins laying around in display cases and in boxes and so on looked like a huge lifetime hoard of coin buying over all the years … basically impossible to lock all that stuff up in vault every night and get it all back out in morning put out in display again just to have 3-5 customers walk I. For the day
  5. @GoldFinger1969 I missed other thread until you mentioned it
  6. Odd robbery , thefts didn’t even want gold coins ! They didn’t even touch cash register … all they wanted were Silver dollar (Morgan dollars) $56,000 worth of Morgan dollars stolen https://www.krtv.com/news/crime-and-courts/thieves-steal-56k-worth-of-coins-from-helena-shop
  7. Open carry around here is allowed in state of PA but however it draws attention cops respond to calls they show up asking questions and stuff … why ? I have no idea why ! The cops should tell Karen over the phone that is within someone’s right to open carry …. Only problem where Open carry gets shady is getting in your car with a loaded handgun unless you have license to carry you’re fine … just too many Karens out there with 911 on speed dial
  8. Nuffing wrong with that ! I’d rather be surrounded by bunch law abiding concealed carry gun owners, than to be in a show with only couple of security or cops walking around … shows are not Federal buildings 🤷‍♂️ which you should have right exercise your conceal carry rights … at the gun show while everyone handguns were being unloaded as per the police officer at the door , if you were to go into the bathroom look at garbage can full of cut off zip ties 😂 guys/gals just loaded them right back up and continued on at the gunshow
  9. @VKurtB have you ever carried concealed to coin show ? I’ve been to gun show once was carrying they had me take it out police officer unloaded it out of chamber , and handed me back my magazine and live round he put draw tie in chamber to keep it open said I could still carry just not loaded until after I leave building …. I heard once a dealer lady at coin show bought her concealed weapon which I don’t blame her she had go out on parking lot to get coins into the building to table …. They told her leave the gun in her car ! She wasn’t too happy about it …. That’s what I heard I wasn’t there to see it go down I seen police there at front doors all time
  10. Every state should be constitutional carry ! Do away with the permits !!! In state of PA I had go sheriffs office to have back ground check for license to carry …. I often wonder what do they do with that money afterwards ? Shove it in their pockets ? What’s that money go towards ? Democratic Party slush fundings ?
  11. @VasquezJ if you want a nice nice Buffalo nickel? my advice as long time collector with enough common sense is to save your money and stop submitting worn down coins that are not even worth submissions nor slabbing fees I'm not a professional grader or master or anything like that … but I do study up on coinage and I have for over 30+ years , I’m still learning new stuff each year in the hobby …. I would not waste my time nor my money sending in any of the coins you are showing us …. Why why why Would someone waste such money like that when they could buy MS coin and build a decent collection something to have pride about wroth showing ….
  12. They used to go to work with guns !💪 legend !!!
  13. I’ve seen that on PCGS forums … pretty funny
  14. You submitted these coins 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  15. @VasquezJ nope they are average circulated Buffalo nickels in the picture you provided for us to view nothing special about them
  16. @VasquezJ heritage auction has sold one that I found the link is here it gives a description of the coin apparently there’s no documentation that back these up … perhaps mint never documented them ? @RWB does a lot research on mints and documentations he might would know about them or why they are “special strike” https://coins.ha.com/itm/proof-buffalo-nickels/1927-special-strike-5c-sp65-pcgs/a/1124-2168.s
  17. If you look at coin even a mile away we can tell you this was PMD … you can clearly see “brush lines” on the coin someone used a stiff wire and brushed it across the coin leaving deep scratch lines on it all going the same direction therefore it’s a damage coin
  18. Yes indeed I tapped the link right after I posted to you …. That picture looked like it was take 5 feet Away
  19. I don’t do instagram! Post a picture on here …. Not hard use a phone then crop the picture post it on here
  20. Please do all us on here a favor either burn this book or throw it in trash …. If it were true ! All of us collectors who been collecting 20-30-40 even 50 years we would have been stinking rich by now ….. sadly our hobby been under attack by “uneducated people” who rip off newer collectors with dumb YouTube videos and books written by some author we never heard of in numismatic hobby nor do they even collect or study coins or coinage history …. Beware what you read and believe about our hobby ! Stick around here read some forums learn from older collectors who been at it for years all this knowledge is FREE to you if you’re willing to sit back and learn error coin collecting is not an easy field to get into , I know few guys that’s all they collect is error coins they devoted their entire years into collecting errors and varieties coins they are good at it because they study up on it know what to look for …. If varieties are what you want to get into start studying Morgan dollar varieties or Indian cent varieties will keep you busy busy for long time a lot newer folks getting into the hobby are jumping right in “error coin collecting” … I myself been collecting 30+ years I have no intention or desire to even look for error coins ! I get it there’s a lot misinformation out there pulling in new people to hobby looking for error coins in their pocket change is like chasing a ghost ! It doesn’t exist that easily … our hobby is being mocked like all of us older collectors are I-D-I-O-T-S don’t know how to strike it rich with basic pocket change!!!! Books already been written in past by well know authors who studied coins and patterns and errors over the years … please stay away from newer books being written to day all full of misinformation … we are passionate about our hobby turns into a lifelong obsession! Anyone who’s in it just to get Rich They have no respect for our hobby nor history of our hobby it’s not about getting rich at all
  21. Brings me to another subject … always always take pictures of your graded coins in your collection keep stuff on flash drive never know when theft will happen you’ll be glad you got those pictures with cert numbers alert NGC and PCGS and local authorities with all stolen coins and cert #s …. Now a raw coin collection ? It’s lost after a theft
  22. Reading the article it stated her son was selling the coins to a local dealer … but authorities were not able to arrest the son due to fact he died …. Wondering if her son was a drug addict ? Sure seems like that why she was stealing valuable items for son drug addictions? …. Either way two wrongs don’t make a right
  23. Employee working at USPS caught red handed stealing thousands and thousands of dollars worth coins only to get a light slap on wrist 37 months prison sentence ! Should be in jail for a good 10+ years for breaking a federal crime like that! https://www.numismaticnews.net/us-coins/coin-thief-sentenced-to-federal-prison
