Alex in PA. reacted to Coinbuf in Morgan dollar 1884S
No I see a New Orleans mintmark that has taken a hit, it would seem that you are experiencing pareidolia to see what you want to be there. If you know ten other collectors that think they see it then I suggest you sell it to one of them.

The photo shows an 1884-O (round "O") with damage and lots of scratches, etc. There are no O/S varieties listed on VAMworld.

We all hate to see him go to jail but all the neighbors are hoping if he does it will help him. We all pray for him all the time. Every time I went to church someone will remember him in prayer. This may be the way our prayers are answered. The last stretch he pulled in jail helped for a while. He went a while without drinking. He went even longer without driving. His courage finally built back up again. Ive not got a thing aginst people drinking. I will drink a few every once in a while. Bucky takes it to extremes. He will get on drunks for a month at a time everyday. Be drunk by 5 am in the morning. And cant drive a bit sober and thats the first thing he wants to do when he gets a few in him. He accidently burned his house down about 5 years ago. Passed out cooking deer meat. His family lost everything they had. Our community all got together and we all donated money to get materials and build him a new one. Thats how much we all care about him. Were all just hoping he will clean out this time.

Hog: I worked 5 years as an Alcohol/Drug Counselor for Union County, Oregon. I had more loses than wins so don't get your hopes up. Pray; that's all you can do.

Alex in PA. got a reaction from Hoghead515 in Looking for advice on 1944 Lincoln cents
We have seen this on our host's forum. Many posts 'revealing' to us this '1st of it's kind' error that turns out to be nothing more than PMD. I have no idea whether the person(s) asking believe it to be true or a just trolling to rev up the excitement. Same game different names.
See VKurtB's comment above.

Looks good to me. All the San Fran Mint's coins were nice. I believe nicer than the CC, O and P Mints.

OK..., back to the OP subject. Probably not whizzed but polished with Tarn-x or something since it has that smooth shine not visible in photo. One of my earliest purchases on EBAY and probably 1st key date purchase. Seller's photos hid the damage. Someone ruined a nice AU. Luckily not too much invested in coin.

No, but it may turn a cat into a hot air balloon.

Well I was unable to find anything that was cheap while I was on vacation and when I got back home my go to Nickel place did not have any of my kind of deals. However they did have a real sweet MS 63 that was in my( Cheap Old Man ) price range which is very hard to find with all these crazy high Morgan prices lately. So here is a nice looking straight grade MS 63 No + or CAC just a good looking coin.

Your skepticism is correct, just like toning, if the market will pay for it someone will make it.

I agree with Kurt. And thats probably why he didnt want to pull them all out. Didnt want you to inspect them closley. Hoping you would jump on them without looking.

Nice little bit of toning. I've found quite a few '64s in circulation. One or two in very good shape.
