The 05-S above is a favorite of mine - and I am glad I kept it out of my last

auction - and the coin looks exactly like this in hand. The only thing that is

impossible to capture is the flash the luster gives when you swirl the holder

    in hand !

Here's another from the last group to be imaged::

  2. I know, I need to add the new images that Messydesk [ John Baumgart ]

has taken of the last group he imaged for me - I am waiting for the CD

so I can show decent detailed images. Soon, I promise, very soon.

Here's a new addition to the most recent Quarter collection -

............. yes, its in a CAC holder................. I've got more

coins for John to image ... but these are not too bad for seller's images.

Just received Messydesk's images of a Bakers Dozen of my more recent Barber coins.

At the moment - another half dozen Barber Quarters are now at CAC.

Once received back, I'll have those coins imaged as well.

I'll be adding additional images on a daily basis.

  4. I bought these coins from a online coin store that claims that the coins they are selling are Gem 3 for $44.99 as a wholesale price. Then I received this coin, and can not tell if the coin is Gem and also is this a Micro s or a regular s? Can people please give me their opinion on the grade and also if this is a micro s or a regular s?

Thanks, Frank. Yes it's a PL - and mildly reflective. I just sent it along with 8 more

AU Barber Quarters to CAC for inspection. Once I receive them back, off to the

photographer they go. I will post images as soon as I can.

Justin, I thought I was thrilled with the 1896-S Half in my set in a PCGS 40 holder.

It has the look that attracts serious collectors. I was chatting with Glenn via text and he

said he had a few Dimes I might be interested in... Which there was, a 1907-S in AU 53.

What he neglected to tell me was that he just listed the new 96-S Half in AU 50. Don't get

me wrong, I love all Barbers, and could easily start yet another set, but I am enjoying just

upgrading a coin here or there. Well, the new 96-S in AU 50 is already on its way to CAC.

My other 96-S in XF 40 is on it's way to Glenn ( sorry it wasn't with him at ANA ) and he'll

have it at Long Beach is it hasn't sold by then. This coin was off the market for years and

was in raw state and sent to PCGS in December.

    Ok, happy hunting everyone !!

  6. Robec - That's one very special coin - one of the nicest I have seen in AU !!

Aside from a smattering of Barbers - I was able to upgrade my SLQ collection yesterday on the Heritage Auction. The 27-D I have is a nice MS 63 - now - I have a nicer struck MS 64 with a CAC... Pretty pleased with it:
