  1. A couple of new Dimes as well which I forgot to post:

This 1906 is a Duplicate in MS 64 - although moderately toned - it pales in comparison to my primary example - posted earlier. This coin was just too nice to let pass me by.

This next coin is a BEAR - a real BEAR to find in anything close to AU - and although its not exactly in the grade I want this date in - prefer an AU 58 - this will have to make do - as it could easily take me many years to locate another which remotely comes close to this level. I chased this coin for a few weeks and finally nailed it. Actually, I'm pretty happy about getting it.

I think I missed one - will reedit this post once I realize what is missing.

Yup - I missed posting this MS 1915 for the Date Set

  2. Coin was sent Registered Mail and should be here by the weekend.

I have blown the coin up on my iPad and I have seen / scrutinized

it to a fair thee well... I see no hair lines... I do see a few unobtrusive

reeding marks - but nothing that would have limited the coin to a 62.

Heck, I have seen worse in a 64 holder.

I bought the coin because its almost a dead ringer match to my 1901.

( which just so happens to be my all time favorite Barber ! )

Just picked up a nice golden common date - 1916 Phila. Looks a lot

more like a 64 than a 63... So... I grabbed it this morning on line on eBay.

Will add images once I get off the iPad... Seems the images are too large

    to post here directly.

  3. Spotted this witthin an hour of its listing and although I

Later this evening, I was on Face Book looking at posting on My Page and

NGC had posted this Barber Counterfeit of an 1895-O Dime. Its well worth

    posting this here.

  4. I used to kid Gail all the time saying the photographer was as blind as a bat

because his lenses are always out of focus. She hated their old system, and now

loves what they are now using. The flat screen scans are decent enough to tell

approximately what you will be receiving. The coin in hand is always nicer than

    it's images - so - that's always a good thing.

I placed four bids on this weekend Heritage auction - and was blown out of the

water on an SLQ - which I already had the date of in the same grade and service,

but there are FH's and then there are Full Heads !! The coin I lost out on was an

    ULTIMATE FULL HEAD. ... :sorry:

But on the Barber front, I picked up two MS Dimes for the date set, and a nice upgrade

for the Half set. It seems the size of the Half is too large to post. Off to photobucket to

    get the images up.

  5.

The Gals at JJ Teaparty sent me an email showing their newps.

I spotted two minor upgrades for my latest Dime set and one old

friend. Both of these coins are both quite nice for their grades. Looks

like the kiddo gets a couple new coins for his collection, provided his

    grades are up to snuff.

This 1911-D was originally purchased raw from Dave Lawrence, in 1995.

I placed it in my Dansco - and had that raw set certified - half here and the

other half ATS - back in 2009. I'm thrilled to have it back again.
