  1. Welcome to the forum, we will need better more in focus photos of your coins to really answer your questions. In case your are not aware there were 7 different variations of the Lincoln cent made in 1982, from what I can see in you photo your Lincoln cent looks to be a normal copper (bronze if you prefer) large date, there is no such term as small print. Better in focus close up photos of the date should confirm that you have a large date. I have included a photo that identifies the differences between the large and small date so you can compare to your coin. I'm not versed in ancients so someone more knowledgeable in that area will chime in on it.
  2. Agree with what Hog said, your coins are filled dies, either with grease or debris not strike throughs. Still cool finds just the wrong terminology.
  3. I think you got a good buy also, congrats on the newp.
  4. Very nice collection, sadly I have no ancients that I can share.

    adding coins

Have you followed the steps outlined in this post How to add coins to my registry set Also are you adding NGC graded coins or PCGS graded coins?
  6. Welcome to the forum, you have the answer to the red quarter, as to the remaining coins there is not much we can tell you without seeing the coins. I would suggest that you find a local coin shop and contact them to see if they are willing to evaluate your coins. The chances that you have anything truly rare or valuable is possible but not likely, I say that so you are prepared for that worst case possible outcome. If that is not a viable option, then you can post photos here and we will do our best to help you. Do not attempt to clean or scrub the coins as you could inadvertently damage them.
  7. @Fenntucky Mike is correct on both counts, while there are three known DDO's for this date/mm your coin does not match any of those and looks to just be suffering some strike or mechanical doubling. The area above the wing is not a die crack but remnants of a die clash; I have included a photo overlay from the website Mad Die Clashes. As you can see in the photo that is George's neck from the obv.
  8. Good question Hog, maybe @RWB knows how it is done currently.
  9. Thats ok you continue to show yourself for what you are, I never said a CPA is a big shot, only that you needed to say that to feel important. Please read and follow along or you will be left behind.
  10. I figured that balloon animals and cartoons are just your speed.
  11. Just as soon as you my friend I'm a big shot CPA Yea let the balloons loose. See in the adult world we don't have to brag about ourselves to get the point across, you will learn this when you grow up.
  12. No one cares how much you want to brag, and for someone that claims to be educated you sure get triggered easily.
  13. Remember I said knowledgeable coin collector, not the bum at your corner. Should be interesting to see you prove all that.
  14. Why not its rather amusing watching you have your meltdown. You are a funny guy, I said your damaged beyond repair coin is only worth melt, please prove me wrong and find a knowledgeable collector that would pay you over melt for your damaged coin. For someone that insists that I read your posts your doing a very poor job of reading mine.
  15. I understand just fine, you want someone else to be responsible and fix your coin, it cannot be done. That is not an opinion it is fact, that you need handholding is not my job. If you want information open a book and learn. At the end of the day you have a piece of junk gold that is only worth the melt value and nobody can fix that, simple enough for you to understand?
  16. I gave you the simple truth not an opinion, if you cannot handle it don't ask. There are no details to give, you clearly have no idea what NCS does. NCS does not have a magic wand to move the metal back into place, there is nothing they can do to help that coin, its a very simple concept that fact that you don't like the answer does not change the facts.
  17. If you need sugar coating and someone to wipe away your tears go elsewhere, here you get the honest unvarnished truth.
  18. So I have wanted a coin of this type for quite a while now, not a priority but one that I really did want. I find the no star seated dime design to be so clean, uncluttered, and simple, just an elegant presentation of the design. I was able to aquire this piece from a PCGS forum member on the BST ats, I think this is a very wholesome, unmolested coin with some a very original look to her. In addition this was the first year of operation for the New Orleans mint, which adds that little bit extra coolness factor for me. So here she is, an 1838 - O no stars seated dime, PCGS XF40. Photos courtesy of the seller, a bit lighter in hand then the photos suggest with a touch more color.
