  1. @Hoghead515Thank you for your genuine appreciation and sincerity. I try to help, as much as I can, but I still LEARN a lot, too. You seem like you'd be a great person to have a beer with. Thanks, for being you and for making this site a much better place for ALL.
  2. You're not even going to finish it all off with a fine Arturo Fuente Opus X Ltd cigar?? I am very disappointed in you!!
  3. He does amazing work. No matter how good the original pictures are, he always seems to make them even better. He is a master of capturing the color of a coin.
  4. The nice thing about collecting coins is the wide range of available possibilities.........Trophy coins and key dates are often egalitarian but there are still MANY choices and avenues for the 'common man'.
  5. I think it is a mid-grade fake. That is just my opinion.
  6. Time for the next generation to step up!! Congrats to all the new winners!! There are some amazing, fresh sets out there, now!!
  7. Thanks, everyone! It is graded MS 62 by our host. I love the color and surface preservation. The 1873 P has a mintage of just 293,000 and is VERY scarce in both circulated and uncirculated grades. There are only 21 known in NGC 62.
  8. I can't stop eating the homemade stuffing and pumpkin pie!!!
  9. Bringing back this old thread, in celebration of my picking up a nice key date Frankie that I've always wanted!! Always regretted selling my MS 65!! Here's my new 1949-S MS 66 CAC!!!
  10. Thankful, Grateful & Blessed. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
  11. @Old Pueblo Nice to see you posting again, old friend!! I'll go with 1920.
  12. I didn't get that impression from Scott, in any way, when I met him. He seemed very genuine. His 'Coin Collector's Survival Manual' is a fantastic book and is one of my all-time favorites. I've read it several times over.
  13. Two were very influential, pioneering authors, while the other two are/were lifelong numismatists who studied and assembled world class collections.......No different than D.L. Hansen or B. Morelan, Et Al.
  14. Can't believe that Bruce Fox, Gerry Forsythe, Gene Gardner and Scott Travers were not on the list!!!
  15. Welcome! I think you'll like it here. I specialize in Walkers but also like Morgans, Standing Libs, Buffalos and Mercs. I also have an interest in Seated and Bust coinage. This is a good place to share coins, acquire knowledge and make friends. Enjoy!!
  16. At the end of the day........I trust MY OWN opinion. I feel SOOOOO sorry for those who don't know how to grade and must rely on other entities to edify their buying decisions. If I see a coin that is undergraded; I'll jump on it. If I see a coin that is PROPERLY graded; I'll buy it, if the price is feasible. Once in a lifetime; I see a coin that I can't live without....Then I'll pay MOON MONEY. But that RARELY happens....Especially, nowadays.
