Thanks...took one look at the ''red book'' mintage and figured what the hell,
Definitely played the odds!
The answer is revealed in the photo of 19 cents, with the arrow pointing at the 17th coin if counted from the top left to right. At first I just photo'd the coins in a small box, but then as you pointed out like a 1:150 shot!
So, I laid the coins out and that's when I had the epiphany to position the 1917 as the "17" coin. I cheated just a wee bit by declaring 6,717 coins sorted when it was actually 6,714 - just to present another clue.
The 19 coins in the hoard: Drum roll please......

I have a guess but it wouldn't be fair to the member who submitted that date. (Good thing you decided to empty the glass jar because most glass containers are unable to withstand the weight of metal.)
Mr Arrius, you cannot win if you do not play!

well its a 1 in a hundred and fifty shot........Ill guess 1945 philly no mint mark
Smart guess as the 1945 P had the second highest mintage just over a billion coins! Moreover, Philly minted more than Denver and San Fran combined until 1950

Thanks for the chance, you must have had one heck of a headache after sorting all those.
Headached, eyes sored, and fingers blackened.... For contestants: I have submitted contest before and there's always a clue or riddle in the contest itself.

Hint:
It is not a prime number

Greetings from the Old Pueblo!
I recently sorted and cashed in 6,717 Lincoln pennies from this rather magnificent penny jar. (Plus another large Pig bank)
I found 19 Wheat cents amongst the penny hoard.
First one to guess correctly the oldest date and mint Lincoln cent that I found in massive pile of one cent coins wins! ONE GUESS PER CONTESTANT!
And what, you may ask is prize for your effort?
It is a 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial One Cent Proof Set (4 coins)!
- Birth in Kentucky (1809-1816)
- Formative Years (1816-1830)
- Professional Life (1830-1861)
- Presidency (1861-1865)
Good Luck Cent Hounds!

Had a freaking nightmare finally got a Silver Eagle in my shopping cart but continued to have problems completing the transaction then suddenly what appeared to be a completed transaction, the web screen flashed that there was a "invalid product" in my shopping cart. Evidently the coins were sold out while one was in my shopping cart....that doesn't seem cool at all
I didn't get one, and I've been collecting them since the beginning in 1986!
I have sent inquiry email to US mint, as the coin is still in my shopping cart
