Dang Rey, I think you were playing possum with us at first. You’ve suddenly got quite a collection
I noticed that a while back. Rey not only has a great assortment of rare and common varieties, but also an assortment that is in super condition.
-
Nice Buffalo Lee. What great toning. I'm lousy grading these, but based on the only one I own, the toning and great luster I could see it as MS65-66. 'tis a beauty.
-
How about a nicely scratched "D" Dollar
-
I didn't even catch that until you mentioned it Bruce. I thought it was haze. BTW, welcome home. It's nice to get away from time to time isn't it?
NIce SBA Bobby.
-
Here are my other two. Note - No bears.
Even though graded by PCGS, the reverse looks like someone scrubbed the devil out of it.
Not very photogenic
-
You're right Bobby. It would be a pretty tough series for someone to try to collect. I've got 4 that I've had for about fifteen years and don't know jack about them. Or at least very little.
-
Does anyone know what the "D" means on the Obverse?
Deriberpe. The French jeweler who engraved the die.
Thanks Count. That was very interesting. It looks like the $1 coin was made by Nouizillet.

Cal Fractional $1
Cal Fractional 50¢ - Does anyone know what the "D" means on the Obverse?
-
I just picked up this coin recently. It is a piece that I had always wanted, but never thought I would be able to obtain.
What an absolutely fantastic pickup Tom All I can say is INCREDIBLE
You didn't find that while cleaning out your basement did you?
-
That is a beautiful VDB Stan. Not a mark anywhere. Is it Red or RB? Very nice.
-
Now that's crusty. It doesn't look a day over 200. That's a cool, interesting coin Rey. I'm sure with some of the early American experts on the forum, they could not only tell you which it is, but what variety.
-
Nice Jefferson, Sy. Love the colors. And isn't that one of your favorite years too? That coin has it all.
-
NIce crusty Flying Eagle.
Wow Lee!!! I don't believe I've ever seen a steel cent as shiny and sparkly as that one. Your 1911 ain't too shabby either.
-
Those Flowing Hairs are beauties. One of these days I'll have to break down and get one.
-
Thanks guys. Lee knows how to pick 'em and I was very lucky. I don't usually look in the Money Marketplace or BST forum ATS, but that day I did. I couldn't move fast enough when I found out Lee was selling. Well I guess I moved just fast enough after all.
-
That's a mighty clean Frankie, Irvin. It's a real beauty.
Just came in today. My LeeG pedigreed Lincoln.
-
and coming from Lee I know you got a quality coin.
Lee knows how to pick 'em.
-
I just upgraded...guess which one's the new one
I'll give you a hint: the new one's a PCGS MS65FS
It's hard to tell by just a photo, but.......
Very nice upgrade.
-
That's pretty cool, Carl. Very interesting pickup.
-
Very nice 1910 Bob. Super clean and lustrous.
And Idhair. Thank you for showing a larger pic of your 1916 MPL. It is amazing.
Could you please post a reverse pic? Please?
Thanks Dave. That's a gorgeous 1916 Idhair. That has to be a Red (or scarlet)
-
Very nice Norse there, Rey!
Fun Barber, Saen!
Thats a Ditto
Make that a triple Ditto.
-
Oh, I do love these MPL's. I think I have, among others, Tom, Lee and Dave Kelly to thank for giving me the bug and bursting my wallet. I love your '14, Tom and your '13 Lee (I love your whole Lincoln set).
-
Nice lincolns Bob & Tom!!
I hope you won't confuse us with the other Bob and Tom. They might take offense.
-
That is a beautiful 1911, Bob. I know this has been shown on the boards before, but I don't know if it has been shown within this thread. If it is a repeat, please accept my apology.
I could look at these all day long, over and over. As far as I'm concerned, these can't be posted enough and there is certainly no need to apologize for posting your gorgeous 1913, be it once, twice or fifty times. Very nice Tom.

Lots and lots of nice Lady Liberties posted. Someday I'll have to get some of those busts. This one just came today from Brian Wagner.
