Well it looks good in my book. (thumbs up

Wow!! That's a beautiful business strike Lee. There sure are alot of proof qualities about it.
-
Nice Indians. AT proof, but I like it anyway.
-
I don't know if this would be considered a condition rarity or how much weight the designation holds since PCGS has yet to put this designation on any gold. It is one of only 4 PL's from this date and denomination graded as NGC PF62 PL.
-
It came today. I....almost posted prior to receipt but figgered that wud jinx it somehow.
Wow!! You didn't jinx it. Looks Proof Cameo.

Well, sometimes I guess I just can't help myself. I'm out here in west Texas visiting the folks and there is one coin shop, the only one apparently within a couple of hundered miles. I spent a couple of hours there yesterday going through a lot of coins.
Grade opinions welcome please.
Rey
That's a nice VDB Rey. I can see the hints of luster on both sides. I looks like a beauty. How about MS64?
-
That's a great looking Barber dime Larry. PR 64 Cameo??
Bobby, love the CC. That would be a perfect pocket piece until you get the 01 grade.
Lee are you starting a new Lincoln set? You've been posting an awful lot of Great looking ones.
-
Good idea, Bobby. That's what I shall do.
-
Right you are. I think I will take some images tomorrow of what I think could be a die clash or two. I wouldn't think that there would be any on proof coins, but I guess you never know. I suppose it could also be some extremely heavy handed die polishing. We'll see what you think tomorrow.
Anyway, Bobby, thanks for the cardio-vascular workout.

They look too consistent to not be. But I am far from an expert on that!
After looking at the coin with my 16x loupe, the hairlines do appear to be raised. There also looks to be what might be some clashing on both obverse and reverse.
-
Ok Bobby, I guess I'll get this lazy posterior up off this overstuffed leather chair and check it out. You've got my curiosity peaked. I'll let you know what I find out shortly.
-
I love your run-of-the-mill stuff Lee.
-
Very nice seated half there Bob. Now, those are die polish lines right??
I hope to %$ they are. I'll have to get it out of the safe and put it under the loupe. It's been through NCS (as a precaution) and forwarded to NGC where they graded it PF62.

Hey that's great Irvin. Thank you. I'll have to put that in my sig line.
-
My! My! My! That is one absolutely gorgeous SLQ Irvin. Chad left a day to late. He would have loved that one.
-
But did you buy them from a former director of the mint?
-
Nice Columbian Lee. Wonderful toning. Most of the ones I see are in pretty sad shape. Yours is awesome.
Nice winner Chad. Can't go wrong with a fairly low pop gold.
-
Sorry, I was a little off. Not $10.5 million, but $1.5 million.
I'd say that's a pretty nice pickup.
-
Latest acquisition -- a beautiful rainbow-toned 5-cent piece. This one just happens to be graded by NGC as MS-68. Oh, and date is 1792:
-- Cardinal
Didn't I read somewhere where one of these, maybe this one, just sold for something like $10 million?
-
Nice Long Island Rey. Great looking toning. I'll have to visit our local store one of these days.
-
Thank You Tom. That means a lot to me that you would say that.
-
Thanks Lee. I left a couple out there. Your 1909 SVDB looks real nice sitting next to them. Dave Kelly (cohodk/chinook) informed me that his avatar is from the obverse of this coin, as he owned it awhile back. I know he'd like to have it back. I think that I basically have his old set. But it was a beauty and his upgraded one is even nicer.

Lots and lots of nice Lady Liberties posted. Someday I'll have to get some of those busts. This one just came today from Brian Wagner.

Irvin, I love your little gremlins. Where did you pick those up?
