  1. It looks like it could be a partial filled die on the tip of the.. S ............At any rate it is a good looking cent
  2. That is a good looking Ancient . I was looking at a whole collection in a case that the local dealer here on the Cape had picked up. All NGC Graded and all very nice coins. Most were a bit out of my price range but still amazing looking.
  3. This is my lowest grade Morgan and one of my favorites.
  4. I wonder ? I have all my ASE's in airtight holders in a oak cigar box that is inside a safe ? But then again they are only bullion. I do have some other things in there also like my 66 and 67 SMS mint boxes. All that stuff seams like it is dry. Although gas is dry also. I just keep checking on them every couple of months just to be sure.
  5. I hope you do well QA. And yes it was I who said they can ask whatever they want. (Because) e-Bay has no power over the price. In reference to the fact that they are over priced or out of the ball park or just wrong. IMO.
  6. Again ,, dprince is adding comments unrelated to the original post. Not cool at all. Very disrespectful. Please stop .
  7. Hello Robertdpg . Most of the members here that have commented all have given you very good answers. Your coin may be from someone cutting open the uncirculated silver set to get the IKE Dollar and Kennedy half, out of the set in the red, white and blue package. No matter it is a cool find . Can I ask if you have weighed the coin yet . That would also help with some nicer photos' Try placing your phone on a can to hold it steady and then zoom in to only get the coin from rim to rim . Also use a white piece of paper to place the coin on for the shot.
  8. No No No....... You are seeing displaced metal from the rim being hit and banged around for twenty-four years.
  9. If you can see the numbers on the slab you can look up the coin and get a price. It is normally a bit high but it will give you something to go by. I think my 1898 is $235
  10. My wife picked out this one. I like her taste in Morgan's
  11. Yes a loupe is what most people use. I do and I only use a USB scope to go through coins quickly when roll hunting. When you get a bit older it is quicker seeing a coin the size of a baseball.
  12. Why would you jump on to someone else's thread with a off topic coin.
  13. It is unlikely that it will be worth any more than 25 cents. It is still a common coin. At one time there were 16 billion or more of them out there ............
  14. I don't think the coins were melted it is just what they call the value of the coin . Some of those coins look good enough to resell at melt or a bit more.
  15. It is in good shape from what I can see. The coin being thinner on one side may be the copper edge showing more than the silver. It is only worth a quarter anyway you look at it unless it is a lot lighter.
  16. Yes they do ..... Just ask QA our resident thread resurrection pro. He can find a post hidden in the henhouse
  17. Is there a prize for getting comments on a thread. I see the bump comment quite a lot on dprince threads. Actually, I think it is his top reply to a question.
  18. Details coin with all that damage. Not worth any premium in my book.
  19. No answers to our questions , I guess........ Orson Welles perhaps would say ..............There will be no reply's before there time . Oh well . I am more than happy to work with new members but if there are only posts and no reply's it is not much help. Sorry dprince1138
  20. I think the OP is looking to resell these coins and using this forum for justification to ask for the higher prices. There is saying us old guys use a lot. ( You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear )
  21. I am still unsure what you are trying to sell the members with all this information. Your comparisons have a lot of words but there are always two words missing on most of the coins you have posted. You may want to consider adding (Cleaned ) and (Details ) to your list. Just a suggestion .
  22. I have seen this coin before. When I bid on a coin I look it up before the bid. A few times I have found . Half's and Morgan's on the reverse
