  1. Ya those are goofy looking ,what will they come up with next to get our hard earned cash.
  2. Yes people think we coin collectors are way to fussy. And Yes I am fussy, If I am paying top dollar for a product that is graded on it's quality now and in the future it better look 100%. But who am I to say, I like coins with defects . But not new ones.
  3. I want to thank you all for you help. I think I did ok with this coin. A nice luster 1884-0 MS64 and a Vam37 A2 found by Woods 020 to go with it
  4. You hit the nail on the head Woods it is that vam all of the photos
  5. Well I paid $70 for the coin it is worth $150 according to the coin verification lookup? Not sure if it would be worth the cost unless it would increase the value of the coin by a good percentage. But it sure has some cool cracks that die must have been junk after the clash.
  6. Yes I saw the crack when I bought it and thought it may have more stuff now I can see it sure does. I wonder if I should send it out to be regraded.?
  7. I am liking this coin more and more, Can you guys take a look? I need some extra eyes on this it had a accident at the mint ,it has strike through on both sides of some kind of shape and die cracks all around like the die broke or Die Clash something messed it up.
  8. Well I am a happy camper today. I picked up a old PCGS 1884-O MS64 a real sweet looking lady for 1/2 of what PCGS is listing it for
  9. Is there also some doubling on the M and O in Monticello? It is hard to see but it looked like it. Thanks for the information and photos Lem , I did not know that you could still have some marks on the steps ? I thought it was no marks at all. So as long as the horizontal lines are not broken it will pass at NGC and PCGS ?
  10. Welcome OldPete ....May we also see the Reverse of the coin please.
  11. Nice , On my way to a cookout at my Great grand kids Grandmothers house ( my Daughter) LoL
  12. Ya I am done with the ASE set. I still have yet to order a type 2 and will only get more ASE's if they are 70 slabs and close to the mark. I will just keep Morgan hunting. There is always that one lucky find hiding out there somewhere that may pop up.
  13. Happy Fathers Day to all my New, Numismatic Friends
  14. What a mess this is . What do you all think Acid Bath that found all the voids in the cent ?
  15. I have my full set of ASE one D cam one proof and one 25th Anniversary and that is good enough sending out any of the regular ASE's to be graded that may come back a 68 or 69 is to much money unless one of them skyrockets for some unknown reason. When I can buy a MS70 in a clean holder for $55 it is a much better choice in my book .
  16. Welcome Geno ......Double Die ? two colors ? I like it
  17. It looks like a damaged 1994 Quarter , Sorry nothing to special.
  18. Welcome Jeremy. I agree with Woods020 if you can show a better shot maybe on a bit of a angle it may show more luster and the scratches you mentioned.
  19. Who is to say, Your coin may be a proof they still made Proof sets in 1964. Here is a 1965 set .The paperwork says it is a special mint set from the San Francisco mint.
