You seem to have no interest in listening to the very valid, clear, and respectful opinions of those here. You are arguing a moot point and it's doing nothing to help. With all due respect, it seems to me you've hit rock bottom in this discussion and you've just kept digging. Take the correct answers that the members here have given and stop arguing that two men (one now dead, RIP) were wrong.
The best thing you can do in this hobby is listen to those who know more than you and more importantly, recognize when someone does know more than you. Best of luck in your collecting.

If you do a little research instead of trying to figure out cute, irrelevant names for common minor errors, you'll find out that many series do have the equivalent of VAM varieties.
Large cents use Sheldon and Newcomb numbers, colonials use Miller, Ryder and others, early half dimes have Logan/McCloskey and Valentine, Mint varieties have the Fivaz and Stanton Cherry Pickers Guide, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Good on you for getting a bunch of coins that a lot of others got as well in an oversupplied market. I don’t have any desire to get even one, but don’t feel special you got 30. Go to any coin show and you can buy hundreds both in OGP and graded. The stupid things are everywhere.
As Justbob and I asked where is this article from NGC stating they discovered this coin as you said in your post? The one you claim was actually yours?
@LISA B you may want to be aware of this post.

If it gold cac’d it’s a totally different conversation. The pics aren’t great but based on what I can see I do not see this one gold cac’ing. Just too much little stuff on the face and neck to hit solid 65 in my opinion.

It probably would green CAC. I have noticed CAC puts a lot of emphasis on strength of strike, and it appears this one is pretty good. Just my own observation but I rarely see a Morgan with weakness in the hair by the face CAC.

I would stand tall at $1250 and take a gamble on it if you want. That’s honestly as high as I can go and I’m nervous at that. But if nothing else it’s a neat coin to look at periodically so that’s worth something.

The assumed rarity or "value" of a coin must NEVER influence grade or defect determination. Further, each "grade"  must be unambiguously defined and applied equally to all coins.

I think it’s concerning for many reasons, including this hobby. First I think it is BS to pay a tax on an unrealized gain. It is and always has been a gain only when a transaction occurs. Then the selling price is compared to purchase price, and taxes are paid. For collectibles it’s 28%.

Saying someone has to pay for an unrealized gain is ridiculous. What would happen if it loses value? Do you get a tax credit? Is it capped? I’m sure if they even allow a credit it will be similar to capital gains from the stock market. Full taxation on the sell of stock in the year the gain occurred, but a maximum of only $3k a year in loses. Extremely inequitable.
For numismatics and any collectible this would definitely deter anyone from wanting to invest any meaningful amount. There would be far better and fairer ways to use the money at that point. Collections would go back to circulation examples in basic books I would imagine.

The only good thing, if there is one, is he said households worth more than $100M. I can’t speak for others, but myself I’m a little shy of that threshold to say the least. Now do I think it’s fair to punish someone disproportionately because they are successful the answer is a resounding no. Why punish success unless it is I’ll gotten gains???

Well you know down here in Alabama we don’t like to read a whole lot…😂
Totally kidding and I hate the stereotypes. I live in the same town as The University of Alabama. But for whatever reason I am not aware of any of these existing here. I see them when I’m traveling for work. With our mayor it would take 3 years, 18 council meetings, an environmental impact assessment, and the wind to be blowing the right way for him to allow this. He is a nutcase on oversight of anything to do with building or city planning.

I am in Phoenix Arizona Hog, not unusual for it to be over 120 degrees on summer days, most summers we will see at least 40 days with temps over 110.   Heck the nights only cool down to about 90 thru most of Jun thru Aug.
Now you know why I have few toned coins.
