    I wish NGC AND CAC had a bigger presence out here on the West Coast. I love my NGC coin holders. And so does my wife. I got her a 1960 GW for her birthday.

    Don't ever clean your coins for submission. Pro graders can spot them a mile away. Nothing worse than having "cleaned" on the label. I once cleaned a cent with Kleen King. It was beautiful, but just didn't look right. I slid it in a cull roll and it is out there in the wild.

    I just had a 1944 Mercury get graded at VF25. Not bad for a Coinstar reject. A lot worse shape than your roosie.

    Come to the Veterans Day Hootenanny and there may be a keg or three. Only a 5 minute walk over to the PCGS/Stacks Bowers show! PCGS is going to freak out when we march in there by the hundred drunk and stoned. lol.

    I dont think the the PCGS/Stacks Bowers show and auction at Balboa Bay Resort in November will be cancelled. They just had several successful shows in Las Vegas. There is too much money being thrown into the coin world by the uber rich right now to cancel.

    I found a bicentennial quarter in my change today. Weird. The reverse is MS but the obverse is a little worn. I'm going to give it to a classmate that is going to the HOOTENANNY.

    It's my money and I will do with it what I want to do with it. I'll write it off as a loss.

    I would use these as sliders in a cull cent roll and take it to the bank for a couple of quarters.

    Item1-I agree! Item 2-Im on my second wife. We knew each other in high school, ran with the same gang of dope smoking spicoli like surfers. I just gave up my beloved ol no 7 for her. My first wife wanted me to stop partying but I wasnt ready in my 20s. Item 3-Whaaat? You never been to a kegger party? The worst beer I ever had was some Mexican beer that tasted like pp on a Baja surf expedition back in the 70s.

    Where do they have the FUN show here in socal? Im going to the PCGS BBResort show Nov. 11th, 12, maybe13th. Stacks Bowers will be there too. I am throwing a Hootenany across coast highway at Newport Dunes. Come by for a howdy doody. You will know where we will be. The Newport PD will probably pay us a visit. There will be shenanigans.

    I stopped buying rolls from my bank. I needed a W mint quarter for a set and got it from ebay. My prized beauty is a 5oz silver from the US Mint. I may holder it. Not sure yet. Bidding on another W quarter at auction this week. Someone wants it more than I do.

    I had to give up golfing, I was always the one in the group that would break or throw my clubs, irons and putters after a bad swing. I did get a hole in one on a 3 par. Bounced it off a palm tree and it bounced and rolled into the cup. I didn't get to see it because I was spinning and throwing my iron. Somebody in my group said it went in and I was like no fing way. Sure enough.

    Thanks. I did see the rolling machine scratch after it came back. Noticed by spinning it around. I had a mint roll of them must have been one of the enders and got by me. I had one out of the same roll grade at MS65. PCGS #40278556. I have about 25 left out of the roll that I will have to double check. I have a 65 Washington that I resubmitted for a grade that bounced back because I wanted an MS63. I have about 8 GWs ready to submit but I want to know where my grading skills are at before submitting another one.

    Looks like 14k gold plated? My watchmaker has a whole set of these. I have yet to see any that have been graded yet.

    A 2008-D Oklahoma Quarter Bounced back with "wrapping machine damage". I asked for a minimum grade of MS63.I recouped it and can see the damage. Do you think it would grade at? AU or lower?TIA
