I wouldn't know how I would feel about sending a slabbed counterfeit in and it was returned genuine. Now what to do? They had to have a good reason to call it counterfeit in the first place. I would feel uneasy, always. That said, I had a $3 gold returned genuine cleaned, took a chance, cracked it, submitted to the other TPG, and it was returned AU55. I can live with that, even though there had to be a reason for them to say it was cleaned originally. I guess I'm biased because it was MINE and not some other persons'. I have to check my morality every now and then, usually thinking what I would tell one of my 6 children if one asked me what they should do in that case, trusting me implicitly, and then I 'come clean' with myself, no more blurry vision. My vote would be to send them to the other TPG in the slabs, explaining under 'comments', so they would take a real good look. Of course tomorrow, when my checking account is a little short to pay all of the bills, I might think differently, expertly certified as genuine, I believe I'll just go with that.

I'll soon be acquiring (I think) a 1794 dollar graded SP66 from ATS, a little tentative about cross over grading it at this event. Is there insurance available to cover the loss of value if it is downgraded? I just realized I might be acquiring the piece after the ANA Worlds Fair, so I guess I'll wait for a later discount grading deal. In the meantime, I will bid on a slab Weber grill if you ever want to depart with it, hard to come by, at least with documentation. I've been looking.

Worked on the RR for half a century, that's exactly what they are. Sometimes I'd put a 50 cent piece on rail first, stacked with a quarter, then nickel, penny, and dime. Then push them snug up to the engine wheel and a rock in front of them so they wouldn't tumble, then slowly roll over them about a foot, flip them over, back up about a foot. Never did get the results I wanted, just tossed them into the brush. It was fun tossing them to someone else for them to look at, because the temperature of the glob was in the 170 range.

I've got at least a six pack of pareidolia in me, if not a full case. Under the chair leg under his right foot is starting to look like another T to me.
