  1. Welcome to the Forum Without pictures it is hard to give an opinion. When it comes back from NGC, please post photos of both sides. Curious to see what you have.
  2. Wecome to the Forum There is a +- tolerance on all coins. Yours falls within the accepted tolerance
  3. I agree $100.00 Close but not a repeater.
  4. As long as you know we’re everything is, it’s organized. It’s when you can’t find things that you have to worry.
  5. I don’t see anything out of the ordinary for a coin that old. What I do see is circulation damage. I think as you say, you may be looking too hard for something that is not there.
  6. The proper term is Doubled Die. No the 8 is not Doubled. It looks like it has been flattened slightly.
  7. Looks like a zincoin. You can see some plating bubbling around the mint mark and other areas. Also the fields look too rough for a copper cent
  8. Welcome to the Forum You should really post both sides of a coin when asking a question. From what I can see, the Obverse looks real. Why do you think it’s not?
  9. I agree that is a Large Date. Easy to tell even a photo on an angle.
  10. I agree, you can also see MD in the 1, 9 & 8 on the date.
  11. Yes, it is possible to have a clad layer missing on one side. Colour looks like it may be copper showing and not ED. Can’t be 100% sure from a photo but certainly worth getting checked out.
  12. Hard to give grade when you only show partial parts of the coin. But no, it would not be worth getting graded, it would cost more for grading fees than it is worth.
  13. I wonder what his offers were. Anything over one cent he should have taken. No sense listing it on eBay, it would get removed.
  14. Welcome to the Forum Your quarter is also PMD (Post Minting Damage) It is only an error if it happens during the striking of the coin. Anything that happens after that is considered damage
  15. Duplicate Post. You only need to post once.
  16. Depends on what year you are comparing it to. The Mint has changed the composition four time since then so they would have different lustres depending on the year it was minted
  17. Welcome to the Forum. Just a well worn coin. May have been a partial Grease Filled Die but too worn to tell at this point.
  18. Maybe he couldn’t find that “new coin group to join” and decided to give us another chance.
  19. I agree with DWLange, a classic case of MD
  20. Welcome to the Chat Box Don’t see anything out of the ordinary. There is nothing that would happen during the striking of the coin. That doubling you see is just minor Machine Doubling and the dots are probably just minor plating bubbles.
  21. The full steps only pertain to Jefferson Nickels. What you have is an album worthy cent that would cost way more to grade than it is worth.
  22. Been removed by eBay Can't do much about the Lincoln's as that is the sellers opinion about the grade.
