  1. Wow, great information - thanx. As far as pics of Morgans - I have to get a better scanner / phone I decided to keep the ANACS 64 and sell PCGS 63 because I'm not really into toning (some look like tarnish me) and this one didn't have a nice toning - almost like the process was just starting around left edges only. The advice on "special" mint for the 2015-P was very valuable and it will remain as ICG. As far as TPG's - if I pay for grading I will stick with ANACS due to cost, But I will buy NGC and PCGS if buying slabs (hopefully without increase price for name). Exception: if I buy raw and send to Great Collections, I will pick NGC / PCGS service because they sell better. I will slow down on my Morgan chase with the frenzy over 2021 Morgan. Thanx again for all this input. This site is great for "Newbee's" thoughts
  2. After fulfilling my ASE fetish, I'm working on my Morgan fetish. 2 questions: 1) If you wanted to keep one and sell one between (2) 1887 Morgan PCGS 63 and an ANACS 64; which would you keep ? 2) Would you have a 2015-P ASE, MS 69 graded by ICG regraded by one of the big 2 ? I use to live off Anacs because of price but I'm seeing a disparity in the prices of different grading companies for same grade coin. Thanx for any help for this newbie collector.
  3. I am sorry - I was reading the wrong scale. I'm better cross referencing books than the computer when cross referencing Nice looking coin - thanx for the awareness of my error.
  4. Thanx Woods020 - that makes me feel better. RWB, how much did that run you ?
  5. Thanx for information. Very helpful because I'm not in it to make money, but I don't want to overpay or sell at unreasonable price.
  6. Thanx so much. In the US Coin ASE's appeared to be priced as raw coin ?
  7. I am on my Morgan set quest, and I saw a 1884-O Morgan graded MS 62 but the PCGS price guide goes from AU55 to MS63 ? I can see this is an old label. Any help for this nice.
  8. Yes, that is very nice for the inexperienced collector. I have dealt with both PCGS and NGC for grading but I prefer ANACS due to price, but I will use them if advised and won't have to pay membership renewal Does Great Collections due crossovers (grading) or sell sets ?
  9. Wow, Looking at the site - it's great. Fees not bad, especially the grading fees for raw coins to sell. I'm sold.
  10. Thanx for advice and recommendations. Good bye Ebay (buying & selling) 🥳
  11. Wow, thanx for the all the advice. I'm into ASE's, Morgans and Peace dollars mostly. I like to get coins graded (even though it's not really recommended by you experienced collectors). I really don't expect discount, but am I naive to want coins close to book value ? Thanx for advice
  12. I'm tired of buying off eBay. I have purchased from US Mint reserve and another national company but I want to buy safely without getting a bad deal (way more than book value). Any suggestions would be helpful. thanx
  13. I'm sorry that was a scan picture - can't move it farther away
  14. Well this is with my glasses and the best steady hand I have at my age LOL. My phone is not the newest model. Thanx again. v/r Leroy
  15. Can anyone tell me what that small spot is on lower front right side? Is this uncirculated / possible grade ? I purchased on eBay and their picture appears doctored. Any help would be helpful even if its bad news Thanx Leroy
  16. LOL I thought I was improving by selling my sports card collection and moving into coins. I realize it is a hobby and the value is to the buyer -- but wow ; collecting is a hobby you can't breakeven LOL Thanx
  17. Could this happen with a reputable company such as Golden Eagle , JM Bullion, Ampex etc or just on eBay ? Hope this isn't an inapproiate question on this platform
