  1. Hi guys. I hope you are all doing well. It's been a while and for that I apologize. I just been kinda out of it all for a bit. I recently ran across this 1982 Small Date Copper Lincoln Cent with what looks like some of the letters from the word AMERICA from the Motto on the rim/edge. I believe it to be similar to the title of this thread but I can't say for sure because the given examples I've seen are all with the same word as is below that part of the rim and mine would be letters from directly across the Coin on the opposite rim. So is mine maybe rotated somehow? Or what? Maybe it's not even the rim restricted yada yay? I do not believe it to be PMD like a vise job, as there is no other evidence of that on the Coin anywhere. Any input you guys may have is, as always, greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -Karen
  2. You know, that Back Page serial killer dude from IL was shot and killed with his own gun by a hooker herr in Charleston. The GrParents actually lived in the same apartment afterwards. Crazy but true.
  3. Unfortunately, my grdaughter's, and my grson's mother (my son sure can pick em) and several female relatives are 'in the business' and used the Back Page app until it was shut down because of it. They all then moved to LET GO which was bought out by Offer Up. And now...you have the rest of the story.
  4. @Just BobYou are correct Sir. Those remnants of a Clash are one of the markers listed by Wexler. @J P MashokeThe scratches, both the E-W throughout and the N-S on both sides of the bldg and in the fist and last two bays are Markers for the listing.
  5. Most of those damaged million dollar Coins 'for sale' by women are actually hookers and it is code. Just an FYI. Sad but true.
  6. I don't usually Roll Hunt but last week I picked up a few rolls of Lincoln's from my bank and pulled this little Gem. It's strange because it's listed on all the major sites as well as in the Cherry Pickers Guide, but each description is slightly different from the next as far as the Markers and exactly what is Doubled. Mine has all the Markers listed on each site as well as even the black specks mentioned in CPG and with mine every single Obverse Device is Doubled. I'm pretty stoked about finding it and in my opinion is an amazing example of the FS-01-1984-102(038) or WDDO-005 or CC 1984P-1DO-002. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting to all! -Karen PS: Says all my shots of the Markers are too large. Sorry about that. I'll try to add them to the comments.
  7. It is that which it is.

  8. This was back in June and the website still hasn't been updated. Nobody can send anything in because chances are somebody else has sent the same thing in before you. I'm so frustrated about it and if I even ask about what's up with Wexler on FB they get all spoon hurt over it. Just venting. Thanks for your time.
  9. I think most of the Doubling for that Coin involves the vegetation, but if I recall correctly, there are quite a few so I could be off. But hey it's only 5 bucks to send it in. That's what I would do. Js.
  10. Well, could be real. Could be fake. Could be a percentage of both. The good news is that Manohar Lal and Sons Jewelers does actually exist and they have a website. https://www.manoharlaljewellers.in/ Bad thing is that DH Gate sells fakes for a couple of bucks each. https://www.dhgate.com/product/rare-1902-king-edward-vii-matt-proof-gold/387909649.html Another good thing is that if it's real, it would be worth over $1000. https://bullionexchanges.com/1902-1910-british-gold-sovereign-edward-vii Another bad thing is, that india isn't required to stamp their gold and if they do choose to, they don't have to stamp it accurately. https://www.gold-traders.co.uk/blog/indian-gold-hallmarks/
  11. Well, I've decided to choose Gouge as my answer. Mostly because I don't want to try and pop it. I have been trying to put together a little Clad, 82-09 book for a kid and I'm only putting the best Circulated Coins I can find in P and D, and am putting in random minor errors when I find them and they are interesting. Like DD's that have 70 listings and you know, Ridge Ring and Collar Clashes, Split Plating, etc. Stuff a kid would maybe find cool and want to learn about. So while this Coin is in condition, it will make a nice learning surprise. What do you guys think about the idea? Oh, and no Proofs. Empty spots where they'll go once he gets them if he decides he's interested. Something to work towards.
  12. Well Schnizzle. I was starting to lean towards a Gouge anyway. I truly don't think it's a Blister. I guess it is in rough enough shape that I could try your suggestion but it would absolutely kill me. Lol! I gotta say that I was pretty stoked about it. In this game though, disappointment is more common than not. What do y'all think about the Gouge thought? I told a friend that it feels like if I took my machete and and buried it in a tree and then took a cast of the cut, it feels like what the outside of that cast might feel. (I've been cutting back a bunch of brush this Summer).
  13. Hey Fellows. How y'all doing? I'm having trouble deciding if the raised and sharp, for lack of a better word, line that is at top right of the 3rd pillar is Doubling or not. If not, ideas as to what it might be would also be helpful. I have, had 5-1 in favor of a DDR, but now the guys are faltering and saying not sure. Mostly because of some stupid cheat sheet that says Pillar Doubling is generally only on the 1st, 5th, 8th, and 12th ones. Generally doesn't mean always last time I checked. I don't think it's a Plating Blister because of how sharp and perfectly straight it is. I could be wrong. You all know ot wouldn't be the 1st time. So yeah, thanks for any input you may have. P.S. Yes, I know it's a WAM.
  14. See how that works? Good job. Enjoy your abfab finds and keep on hunting.
  15. @TridmnYes Sir, they are awfully pretty. Bright Red! I would probably put them into a binder for keeps myself.
  16. @TridmnI did not look myself, but there is an FS Variety DDR for the 1964 that you might look for.
  17. @MohawkIt seems I confirmed your info. I should have read all the responses before commenting myself. Ooops!
  18. Yes, Proofs were 'Struck' in Philly in 1964.
  19. Hey @VKurtB sorry it took so long. Couldn't get my video back so here is the one I used to make it. Well, it's not a video. Idl videos. https://www.wikihow.com/Create-an-Inexpensive-Photography-Lightbox
  20. @VKurtBI am trying Sir. Apparently when I made it was when cell service sucked and it never got fully saved in my google account. I know it is in several of my FB Groups. I just have to figure out how to save it externally. If I can't I'll just make another. But I'm going to sleep now and will likely work in my yard until dark when I wake up. So it will be tomorrow evening. Thanks for your interest. I made mine to get non-glare photos of Proof Coins. There are tissues over the windows and the windows are between your lights and the Coin, effectively removing the opportunity of glare. I'll get a vid or a link to one tomorrow evening. -Karen
  21. Only a link if you have FB. Idk if I have the video in my Google but I should. Sometimes should isn't good enough though. I do not join photos. That could be construed as misrepresentation. Mostly I only crop to make certain areas larger larger. However, many times something like an internal die break or a defective planchet, etc may be hard to see well, as far as how they sometimes disappear a little and pop back up further across the Coin. You know it's 1 big Break and you have to show that. A Break that crosses the entire Coin is more valuable than a Coin with multiple Breaks. So edits in Color and Contrast, or even black and white levels, that kind of thing, can pull all the criss crosses and entanglements of a Crazed Die into the light, so to speak, so it can be seen more clearly and by everyone.
