Thanks very much. The price gets better after MS 66 and up.

Alex in PA. got a reaction from GoldFinger1969 in 1982 US Quarter error
This is what happens when people subscribe to the You Tube Masters of Coin Creation. Every piece of abused, danaged and destroyed pocket change becomes an 'Error' or a 'New Variety'. And for those who object to this opinion send your find in and have it Authenticated/Graded and then post pictures.

Alex in PA. got a reaction from GoldFinger1969 in What are the "Casino Vault Hoard" labels from?
Dealers submit in large quantity and this gives them the right to call the coins anything they want. Money talks and BS walks.
Because the Coin Dealer paid for it.

Alex in PA. got a reaction from RonnieR131 in In Honor of NevadaS&G: Your Most Head Bashing TPG Result
The coin in question: NGC - MS 63 PCGS - MS 63 CAC - MS 63.
Yet this guy thinks he knows more than those who graded this coin. What a surprise.

Okay, enough of this . NevadaS&G you have lied, deceived, made more excuses than any other member of this forum has. Pay attention if that's possible:
1. What were you doing when you filled out the PCGS Submission Form?
2. What part of Paragraph 5 of the Submissions Guidelines didn't you comprehend?
3. In Section 7 COIN DETAILS under MIN GRADE what did you enter, if anything.
YOU SENT THEM AN EMAIL???? You have no business being in the coin business and I don't fully understand how you got the coins graded by NGC with your lack of understanding.
IF YOU SUBMITTED A COIN TO PCGS THEY WOULD NEVER HAD CRACKED IT OUT OF THE NGC HOLDER UNLESS YOU FAILED TO ENTER THE MIN GRADE YOU DESIRED! COMPRENDE???

An excellent post. Well worth the reading. I sent some US coins to NGC once. NGC graders took the time to explain to me that coins, like all other living things, can expire and were kind enough to send my coins back in 'Body Bags'!

I guess I'd better pay more attention when I'm on that site.

I must have lost track but what does all this have to do with the Wells Fargo Hoard? Speaking of Saints I have a Patron Saint; does that count?

Now that is what collector's, like me, like to hear. Not saying a dip is all that bad but a nice original BU goes over good.

Just my personal opinion but it's getting harder to find 'nice' silver coins that haven't had a dip.

Alex in PA. reacted to EagleRJO in Grade of Morgans?
I'm still finding decent raw coins in the XF to BU range that haven't obviously been dipped/cleaned for some of the more common years/marks for my Morgan collection. It's when I get to coins like the 1903-S (or 1879-CCs on the other end, which I have also skipped over for now) where there is more of an incentive to try and make coins look better than they are. These insufficiently_thoughtful_persons are ruining perfectly good coins just to try and make a buck.
