  1. History,

In the future, please size your photos so others will not have to scroll back and forth to view coins or read text. It is particularly important on a thread like this that is shared by all others. If you want to place photos side-by-side, you should size each individual photo at about 450x450. If you are placing the photos top-to-bottom, you can enlarge each photo accordingly. Group photos such as yours should be no wider than about 900.

Don't worry, I made the same mistake, too!

  2. Irv- wonderful Gold Double Eagle - looks almost flawless and

those Morgans...simply amazing. They are absolutely stunning.

Congratulations. You've got a good eye. :applause:

I was able to pick something up at Fort Worth myself but

I am at work and "can't play with coins"... (shrug)

    I'll post later on tonight.

Mike, it appears that you have a new friend on the Barber thread.

  3. I had to join over here too and say something :D

I'm working on Images, but thanks to Mike I now have, except the 01-S (Which a dealer friend of mine ahs located and is sending in for grading as we speak) the entire set of Barber Halves put together in VF/XF.

I managed to pull ti off in less than a year, right now I would like to upgrade a couple, but basically the set is awfully nice and really excepting one or two coins very well matched. (I don't like my 97-O).

On the main set my 09-S is an F15, but I do have a 20 but it's the inverted mintmark variety.

Otherwise they are all 20-35s, with a few XF40s in there.

I'll get some images up :)

    Bill

    Bill, welcome to the neighborhood!

I'm sure that Mike will enjoy the company. It's good that you live in Jersey. We need someone to balance the scales since South Florida is sinking under the weight of his Barber collections.

  4. Thanks guys, here are a few new Morgans. The toners are from Shane and I think they are great coins and photos.

I thought I recognized them when you posted them on Stef's website, and I asked if you got them from Shane.

    Nice!

The one I wanted got away. It was the 80-CC. $800 wasn't good enough, but that was all I could afford.

  5. Hi, Scooter! Welcome to our little corner of the world.

If you want to post photos, you can do it, here, in "U.S. Coins" or in "Hey buddy can you spare a grade" if you want some opinions of what a coin might grade. It's fun and you can get differing opinions. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people hanging around and they can also tell you what might be good or bad about a coin. If you should get some negative comments, please keep in mind that they are only trying to help you.

I think you are referring to the 2x2 cardboard holders with the mylar cover. Please be careful when handling any group of holders like this because the staples can accidentallly damage the coins in an adjacent holder. If you are planning on submitting any of these coins, be aware that you should remove the coins from these 2x2's before sending them to the TPGS. You should use SAFLIPS for each individual coin. If you don't have any, you can get them here:

JP's Corner is a good source for many of the supplies you might need.

In any event, please be sure to read carefully the packing and shipping instructions that are on the submission form. It is best to always send your submission via Registered Mail.

    Have fun!
