  1. هذه عملة مشتركة بالدولار تم إصدارها للتداول خلال الذكرى المئوية الثانية للولايات المتحدة. لا يوجد قسط جامع ، باستثناء حالة ممتازة. شكرا على سؤالك!
  2. Agreed. So much for the TPG promise of stability and ability to buy accurately graded coins sight-unseen.
  3. Try an internet search. Here's one result --- ANACS is shown at this address (enlarge the map) in the Centennial suburban area of Denver. https://opengovus.com/colorado-business/20151498572
  4. There are many exceptionally rare coins in non-US series. However, collectors are of similar rarity, so the search is long and the cost in dollars is small. But the satisfaction can be great.
  5. Without consistency between "grades" it is nothing more than the same old krapski as before TPGs were anointed to bring stability 35 years ago.
  6. Hmmmm....reminds me of the "dogs look like owners" photos. You'll probably want to add a lot more information about the dissertation thesis in order to tempt anyone to participate.
  7. None are worth the cost of "grading" -- not even by a local landscaper. [Put the money saved toward buying real camera to take coin photos.]
  8. Members will be interested to see photos of some of the coins, especially the Carson Mint pieces.
  9. The coin pictured was likely pulled from circulation. Might have been washed. Are the others similar?
  10. Not possible to estimate the "value" of something so improbable.
  11. Ah...nice to see a view through the promotional fog! The "city" of Herndon is a nice small town in Fairfax County, Virginia, about 10 miles from my little abode.
  12. Sorry, but that 1911 was never a sandblast proof. It is worn and damaged from the bezel (which is missing one of the 4 retaining tabs).
  13. I've done many presentations for shows and clubs, but I'm not about to insinuate myself into the sponsor's plans. I proposed a casual authors' discussion table to F.U.N. and Central States; neither were interested unless I was paying full rate for a table. That is, the proposed concept was not of interest to them. Beyond presentation's info or talking with collectors, the Florida and similar coin bourse events are not places to collect data, and add to the store of knowledge. (It's a lot like going to a big car show looking for a specific antique radio.)
  14. Several places will rent hand held XRF pre-calibrated for certain metals. But I suspect the companies will want a hefty deposit, fee, insurances and proof of competency in handling an X-ray emitter. A university lab might allow a grad student to test item for you - especially if it fits within his/her thesis.
  15. There is more info in the Eisenhower Dollar program files in NARA, College Park. But to my knowledge none of the "Ike people" have accessed the documents or made photos/scans. Without those files being completely and expertly examined, the entire "prototype" tale is just a cute anecdote and price-pumper. (If someone copied the files, please let me know. I'd like to get a copy for my database.}
  16. Usually "no return" means "no way." Try this thread on another site: https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=342209
  17. I've considered this several times and with varying rationales. There was never anything close to breaking even....expenses are too high. Plus, my distributor has all the books, and the rights to distributing them.
  18. The coins should be stable if they were handled by knowledgeable persons. "Environmental Damage" means that the damage has occurred - not that it continues.
  19. Have they scheduled the hurricane and flooding yet? Great opportunity to pick up some nice used boat parts.
  20. The only "matte proof" coins from that era are the cent and nickel. The gold proofs were sandblasted, except for the 2 years of satin proofs. A sandblasted proof will actually have LESS detail than a satin proof because of the abrasive particles.
