  1. My eyes are not what they used to be. Having put that out there it appears to me that the mint mark is doubled and I see some signs of date doubling. I could not find any mention of this error anywhere but I have limited resources. All said and done it is a nice example.
  2. I am going to go way out on a limb here and give my thoughts about this coin. When NGC gave this coin an uncirculated grade (full grade} and did not tag it as damaged did that not imply the damage was done at the mint ? Was the graders opinion it occurred during minting or did the grader miss the damage ? My opinion would be that it was damaged in minting and unless an error designation was requested it would not be on the label. I would not resubmit the coin for error designation as it could come back as a detail grade. I do not think this is a clip error but more like a die fill issue ( as in some material built up on the die maybe). I am no expert and would never advise anyone about what they should do, just giving my opinion. Nice coin by the way.
  3. As soon as my grand-daughter gets home to give me a lesson on how to post pictures I will attempt to post again. Hopefully it will work correctly.
  4. Sorry, I posted these from Google pictures on my computer. I am not very good with technology. I guess that was not the way to go.
  5. Just got this one in late November. I don't know why this is so dark. It is difficult to see the great details. Sorry.
  6. Lets try this one same thing. I don't know. Sorry for picture quality.
  7. Is this a paper weight or a coin ? This is very thick and heavy. It appears to be copper ? I know nothing about what this is. Any and all input will be met with gratitude. Thank you in advance.
  8. These are great pictures. I would agree that there seems to be a strike through. I am far from an error expert but it also looks to me as though there is also inadequate die fill just an opinion. The value as an error combined with the coin value still ( for me ) would not justify slabbing. It is certainly worth keeping. The clad layer appears to be thin ? Very interesting coin. Thanks for sharing.
  9. That is exactly the way I would submit a coin for re-holder.
  10. There is no stopping the nonsense that NevadaS&G will post. I am now thoroughly convinced he would not know the truth if it bit him. He was not satisfied to bring shame on himself in the last thread ? I would suggest an action by all to ignore this user and put an end to his rant. The only problem is that he will still keep popping up.....
  11. I would like to ask NevadaS&G these questions: 1. What did you hope to accomplish with regards to your unfounded accusations ? 2. Did you accomplish anything ? 3. Are you satisfied with the outcome here ? 4. Do you feel it is necessary to continue this spirited banter ? 5. Since you have been the declared winner are you now satisfied ? 6. Are you willing to stay on this forum and learn as previously suggest ?
  12. Your story is exactly how I started with my Dad and grandpa.I still have every coin we mined or was left to me. Dad and I went to the bank every Saturday morning and got ten dollars worth of hand rolled cents. You cannot believe what we found. It has been a long time since this type of mining can be done with success. If you would like you can tell me what you are looking for and I may be able to help. I may have it and as I said I have never sold a coin but I have passed along coins in the interest of keeping the trditions of collecting alive and well. I have been collecting coins since 1960. My wife thinks I am crazy. .
  13. I agree with the comments from Coinbuf. It is all great advice. I have never sold any coins in my long collecting history and I always enjoy reading good comments on these posts. I seldom post due to the fact that even after collecting for the past 60 years I am far from being an expert. I just love the art and history of coins. I like to think that if you make it fun or an adventure or talk about the art and history of our country and the coin itself they may get interested. Let them find a coin and make a big deal about them finding it. The bug foe collecting my get in them by involvement.
  14. Show us all the proof. At this point all you have is words with no meaning. My opinion could be swayed by producing proof of guilt by PCGS.
  15. IF what you say is true, why would you ever use them ? Is there definitive proof that this is happening ? What would they have to gain by doing so? You ramble on about all these unproven accusations and so far there has been no evidence provided. I say innocent until proven guilty. Most of the made up reviews on yelp are about customer service anyway. I will congratulate you on spelling Doctor correctly unlike "Dinosour". I would ask what does Smh stand for ? You seem to get upset with any comments that are contrary to your thoughts. I would have thought you would welcome engaging comments as well as valuable input. I would like to say thank you to Hoghead515 for defending the sacred life position of all MOMS. I should also state that by posting here, it is not my intention to antagonize anyone.
  16. I would agree and give PCGS 5-stars. It is my personal choice to holder coins with NGC. Dinosaurs have choices and I didn't go away just yet.
  17. One can only hope it is sooner than later. Parting comment, I find it difficult to believe you are a collector, goodbye.
  18. Really ? Your issue is that Maulemall won't show his face. It is difficult to understand your constant flip flopping on what it truly is your complaint or issue. This will be my last comment to you as I have wasted enough time trying to understand why you still are coming here or who you are trying to get to ? If you post something worth reading maybe I will respond but that is highly unlikely. Enjoy your anger in solitude.
  19. I trust Yelp reviews less than not at all. I only own NGC coins but I have no issues with collectors who use PCGS. I firmly believe that collectors should know the coin and condition of what they want to add to their collection. It should never be about the plastic only the coin matters. Plastic is a personal choice the coin is a personal .desire. It's all about personal choices but in the end the only thing that really matters is the coin. By the way nice Yamaha.
  20. I am having a difficult time understanding this comment and the picture, would you care to explain it to me as I am clearly not as intelligent as you ?
  21. She only accepts people who are willing to treat other people with some saving graces but as we all can see plainly and clearly you would not qualify. Someone in your life must have influenced you negatively for you to become so rude and opinionated ? You obviously think your opinion is the only one that matters ? I for one would love to see you never come back here due to the fact that you are really the personification of negativity. Please take your own comments as true for you and leave. This would be a cordial invitation which you should take advantage of..
  22. Apparently you sir, ( NavadaS&G) are one of the very same people the you are describing in your comments. I would point out as well you appear to have anger issues, I agree with you, I don't know why you come here either ?
