  1. The new format takes a bit to get used to... took me quite awhile to locate this Thread...

I guess my "handle" ELBESAAR has been retired and my name has taken its place.

Considering my ELBESAAR Collections have been sold - and the new ones are named

after my two Dobermans - "GINJAMAX" -  should be the correct handle.

Long Beach Heritage Auctions provided a few things for my new Proof V Nickel Collection:

    1894%20Nickel%20PCGS%20PR%2066%20CAC%20O

    1894%20Nickel%20PCGS%20PR%2066%20CAC%20R

    1907%20Nickel%20PCGS%20PR%2066%20CAC%20O

    1907%20Nickel%20PCGS%20PR%2066%20CAC%20R

  2. Not being able to add new PCGS coins to my Registry sets here -

leaves me kind of at odds over posting any coin in a PCGS holder.

I had a great show at FUN - filled in many Liberty Nickels in MS & Proof

for my sets. Still, no AU 58 dates I need. Regardless of TPG holder.

One image that doesn't have a cert label - so - "its gender neutral" is a

neat Pattern I got from Rich Uhrich ....

    1882%20Liberty%20Head%20Nickel%20-%20PCGS%2064%20CAM%20-%20J-1690%20QQSH_zpsmnvyphsx.jpg

I have waited for the right one to come along for close to 55 years...

Its a Proof 64 CAM - and its now at CAC for their blessing.

    EDIT TO ADD:

Last week I submitted this 1882 Pattern to CAC - and it Green Beaned !

  3. Just thought the readership here should see the time and effort my

photographer took to provide me with a look I'd like for my Proof Dimes:

He took three images of each Proof Dime:

    1894 - My favorite image:

    1894%2010c%20pr%20copy_zpscldqkfoh.jpg

This is okay - a bit too overexposed...

    1894%2010c%20pr%202%20copy_zpsbiax8wxc.jpg

My least favorite - much too bright - but it does cover any and all imperfections:

  4.

My YN got around to edit some pics he took for me last Memorial Day -

I started bugging him a few months ago - as he was applying to Med School -

    I cut him some slack.

He finished my Dimes - purchased from July, 2015 to May, 2016.

I have to chuckle... I think I'm going a little over the top with NEWPS.

Here's one of my favorites: Widest S/s I have ever seen.

  5. The Morgans are just toned the right amount - love the 1893 as well !!

Spotted this on HA.com - and had to add it to my 1891 Dime set....

{ its my Grandmother's Birth Year - so, of course, I have way too many

    duplicates !! }

I spotted another duplicate 1891 Dime - and this one is for my God Child....

All the other newps are Barbers... :applause:

  6. A few newps....

For my latest Half Set - AU 58 CAC Only:

For my overly neglected Proof V Nickel Set:

    ...and lastly { Barber wise: }

a Christmas present for my cousin's son - who I have gotten hooked on Barbers

    1907-P%20Quarter%20PCGS%2045%20OBV%20-%20MJF_zpsiyt8r5gq.jpg

    1907-P%20Quarter%20PCGS%2045%20REV%20-%20MJF_zpsl3nnkaby.jpg

He has an almost complete set of Barber Dimes in XF/AU because of his

interest in my collection - he needs the keys and a few semi keys.

    Last year - he received an AU 58 - 1898 Quarter - with a 1998 Quarter

in a special Leather case - specifically made for Quarters - { he was born

    in 1998 - so this was very apropos }

  7. Love the 1895 (MS64) a lot. How come no CAC?

    jom

    Hi Jom,

The Proof 63 is CAC .... for the life of me, I have no idea why

the MS 64 isn't CAC .... I know it's been dipped and displays

secondary toning - but CAC is more into a purist mode, fully

original coins with eye appeal and undergraded by at least a

half grade. The 1895 MS 64 Dime was at a Baltimore show and

I was roaming the aisles with my friend, Broadstruck ( Frank )

and from 10 feet away from the coin case, that coins was glistening

like no tomorrow. Another guy was deciding between a very nice

1892 Quarter in 65 and this 1895 Dime in 64. He selected the Quarter

and I casually asked Dave for the Dime. Took me all of 5 seconds to

    buy it.

My new 1895 AU 50 arrived yesterday - and it's nice - nice enough for CAC ?

We'll soon see. I know full well, CAC or not, if an AU 58 shows up, all bets are

    off.

  8. Have not had my Daily Fix of Barbers in a while...lol

    Here's a duplicate for my third tier set { PR / MS / AU }

Its only an AU 50 - but its the color that sold me...

    PROOF = PCGS 63 - Seller's Images [ my images are forthcoming ]

I really didn't mind picking up an AU 50 for the date - as my 1895-O is also

    an AU 50....

  9. G

    JOM..

What do you get ? The chance to correctly answer the question !

    That's what !! :o

Ok... Too lazy to look it up.... It's a 63

    Absolutely stunning in hand.

    Well, I sold 22 Halves ( 20 CAC's and 2 Rattlers ) to my friend,

SROTAG - for his son's set.

I have not been very active with the Halves as of late.

Prices are sliding - so it's a good time to say hasta la vista

( never took Spanish ) - and continue on with my Liberty Head

    Nickels, Barber Dimes and Quarters.

I plan on occasionally picking up a nicely toned AU 58 Half as I find them.

After having assembled 8 Half Dollar Sets since 1967 - this time, I'm not

    vying for another complete set.

Look for my coins being auctioned at Heritage FUN Ft Lauderdale auctions

in early January 2017. Not all the coins will be part of the FUN auctions, the

lesser valued ones will be part of their Weekly Internet Only Auctions - specific

    dates to be announced.

Check out my Registry set - the majority of what is left - will be auctioned.

    What won't be sold are any 58's, 93-S in 53, the 1901 in PCGS 64+ CAC ,

    the 01-O and the 01-S, the 05-O in 45 CAC ....

Most of my images are still up and I'll be happy to discuss anything, just

    send me a PM.

    Good luck...Happy Hunting....
