  1. Well I got this tonight from a friend at the coin club, it's not a coin but it's pretty cool!
  2. I picked up four of these at my local coin shop yesterday, had a heck of a time figuring out what they were until I finally found them listed in the red book!
  3. Recently I submitted two orders, one the regular "early bird submission" that was received on 3/15 and shipped back to me on 3/29 which I thought was great. The other submission was economy and that was received the same time (I shipped them in the same package) and is currently in "grading/quality control" which seems to fit in the current 29 working day turnaround for that tier.
  4. Last year I had a submission that I sent registered and although the post office showed it was delivered after a week or so, it did not show up as having been received at NGC in my submission tracking. I came to learn that when there are long backlogs, NGC will sign for the packages and store them in a secure vault on site until they have the capacity to open the packages and log in the submissions. At that time it was a big backlog time and might have added a couple weeks to the process. I haven't had this issue with my last submission last month.
  5. This one arrived in the mail today, AU details for cleaning, but it has the toning pattern I like.
  6. I bought one of each of the 6 2021 coins from the mint, likely wouldn't buy more Morgans but would consider a set of high relief Peace dollars.
  7. I thought they got rid of the PMG message board.
  8. This one arrived today, saw it had the look of the toning pattern I can't resist!
  9. I picked these three up at a local show today, the 1813 is an O-110, with some outstanding clashing (I count three reps of E Pluribus Unum above the date) and I can't resist clashing (though this sort of clashing is more common on the 1814s. The second is an 1817 O-113, which I just bought because I liked it. And the last is an 1826 that I bought because I loved the toning, but I'm stumped on the attribution, as it has the alignment of T and I and die cracks of the O-113a, but is has the incomplete S in the motto of the O-117 (which doesn't note the die cracks on the reverse through United). So I give up!
  10. I picked these up at my local coin club meeting tonight, and I've not seen these copy coins before so I'm asking for any help on them. I did a google search and there were some struck over SBA dollars back in 2017 for the 40th anniversary of the design, but these seem to be on thicker planchets, and seem to be silver plated (I thought if they were on actual silver there would be some notation of the weight and fineness somewhere on them). They came in an envelope in flips which were in plastic bags. Looking forward to any info!
  11. I enjoy collecting notes, but like Mohawk, I tend to go in cycles. Right now I'm a bit off cycle. I mostly collect large size type notes, but I am also a big fan of changeover pairs, I think I am up to three pairs now (they are not easy to find). And speaking of $100 red seals, here's one for you...
  12. I thought they minted 2 million of each one. I've only received one in change about a year ago.
  13. Here's my contribution, only VG details, so not as nice as most of yours:
  14. best die clashing that I've ever seen seems to happen most often on 1814 half dollars. I have one where you can read "liberty" backwards under the wing on the reverse, clear as day!
  15. I forgot I had this one, hard to find nicely toned Peace dollars, this one has a nice obverse, the reverse no so much...
  16. Somehow I got suckered in on these and now I just have to keep the set going. Like you I have the proofs and reverse proofs for each year, but I am not complaining about the combined set, since to me the extra packaging wasn't worth a 50% premium in price, $44 for the combined 4 coins last year vs. $28 for the complete set.
