Got these over the last few days:
-
Nice 8-reales!!!
-
Yesterday I picked this up from the post office for my type set from James (EarlyUS). I took the photos in a rush so I will try to redo the reverse photo later in the week.
-
The mint still has them for $21.95.
-
Here's one I've had in mind for years, and finally came accross a specimen that looked worthwhile to actually buy. Thanks Doug Winter (I had to use his photo because I don't have it yet).
edited to add: I'll post a writeup on it as soon as my hand recuperates so I can do the typing and I get some reading done as well.
Awesome piece of history there Mike!

Before 1943 there were no steel pennies, only bronze. Perhaps you have one that someone plated? Try picking it up with a magnet, if that works, then look for evidence of an altered date, if it doesn't work, then I think you have a plated cent.
-
Excellent addition to your type set chad!
-
I picked up these two at a local show in Michigan today, the first was just calling to me (maybe it was the dearth of nice bust halves there today):
This second one was e-gads, a MODERN!!!! It was in a bargain bin and I couldn't resist, sort of like a kid and candy in the check-out aisle!
-
Here is a photo of the 1909 cent I got in change yesterday (I hope you can see the date, it's had a good long run in circulation!):
And here's a bit of yellow metal I got in the mail yesterday that I bought from a fellow forum member here:
-
No photos, but I got a 1909 Wheatie in change at the McDonald's drive thru this morning!!!
-
XF-40 is my guess.
-
That 1840 half dime is stunning!
-
They are already out of the flips, clanging around in an envelope full of random silver eagles!
-
Thanks Texasrichard, though typically I only buy a roll a year!
-
I got these at the coin club meeting on Tuesday night:
Then I won this one in the raffle (not bad for $2 in tickets):
-
I got this one last week from board member Doogy for my Dad's birth year set:
Then I picked this one up today at a local show to go with my SOL set, not bad for melt!
-
Is that the matte proof Jefferson? Not sure if I've ever seen one before.
-
I just got these two in the mail today. The first is a nice Morgan I needed for my AU/BU set in a Dansco that I bought from a member of this forum:
This second one was a nice merc I bought from someone on another board, I mainly got it because it is my Dad's birth year.
-
I think that's a nice looking Morgan Bobby, and Stephunter, that 3-cent nickel is outstanding!!!
-
Excellent bust half!
-
Wow, nice half leeg and great old silver dollar Victor! I need to get me one of those for my type set.
-
Wow what great coins!
I picked this one up at a local show today, pretty cheap for an 1895 silver dollar! The toning looks a lot nicer than my poor photos show.
-
Speaking of modern commems, this one arrived yesterday:
-
Mike that is a wonderful eagle! I have a matching half and quarter eagle from that date.

Yeah, if you guys think that old half dime is great, wait till you check this out, I bought me a whole roll of these 1955-S dimes, those are whole dimes mind you, not half ones!
