  3. I submitted a lot of coins a few years back to help build this state quarter set; ( searched a couple thousand rolls!!) https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/46637/
  4. I left my full step nickels a while back when I was sucked into the Roosevelt dimes. 5C --- https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/239643/ 10C --- https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/247280/
  5. 84 years ===== how many years we have been using Jefferson nickels
  6. No one else here understands or will be able to do anything with those coins I saved in that chest. Time for me to finish a long time quest and clean it up.
  7. The clad dimes that were saved were full torch or 67 and better. The nickels have a full step and 67 or better as well. There is no telling how many mint sets and rolls I bought and traded for over 10 years but the boxes are slam full of goods!!
  8. My office at home is a coin shop As I got more into coins while running a great house framing business the hobby started to fill every empty hole in my office. Now I am retiring sorta speak from work at 62 years old and I have all these coins I searched over the past 10 years or more and rat packed. The coins will keep me busy for a while as I do vacations and trips for pleasure. Spent 2 days going through the clad dimes. Preservation is next --- maybe Wednesday. It will be a nice day here outside and I do my preservation off the porch out back. Then I will do a double check on all the dimes and reduce the submission. Close to 350 dimes in the batch for starters. (1968 to 2015)
  9. Yes most coins are that way. I usually don't submit coins unless I have a couple collectors that are interested in adding to their collection. Selling a couple high grade coins out of a 100 count submission will usually cover the cost of a large submission. I will end up with a lot of low value / just under the good tier coins that simply are hole fillers after all is said and done. The search is fun and I have around 5 years of hoarding up boxes of U S coins from mint sets and rolls. 5c, 10c, 25c, 50c, and $1's. Interested in adding to my clad dime collection so I will be getting a large submission wrapped up and on the way to NGC this week. If all goes well my nickel hoard will be next.
  10. I have a 1976-D NGC MS64 you can have.
  11. 84 years of nickels is a very large quest for collecting. Your nickel set is looking great. I am sending in a group of clad dimes next month to NGC. The prices for most on the bay are too high for realized value. I have a large group of nickels saved as well that I can send in to fill many empty spots in our sets. Stay in the hunt
  12. You still digging in that basement for hidden treasure?? You been doing that for a few years now.
  13. Actually --- Ron got a lot of my MS70's and PF70's a while back and I took his 69's in as trade towards the cost. We have been around the block sorta speak.
  14. This post is from a while back. He probably got them sold as usual. I have a set graded if you want a few --- https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/135256/ Let me know if you want any. I have a 30 count or so of proofs to send in soon. Pretty sure half of them came from Ron's first OGP sale around 4 years ago. Thanks, Rick
  15. Tom, If you get Ron's graded set it is a set that is well driven towards top notch. We did a lot of trading and buying back and forth in the days. It was a fun ride and experience!!
  16. Modern coins are VERY hard to find in pristine and high strike form from searching through so many badly produced coins. When you find 1 out of 1000 raw and get it graded it sells for over $1000. The hunt is fun and the rewards are plentiful if you have the right eye and know the right collectors.
  17. Ron, I am finishing my dansco albums for the modern commems and will be glad to buy a list of 20 ++(crack outs) or more to fill it. I will get you a list next week if the full load does not sell. Just message me on a full price for the OGP listing (all coins silver and gold) I want all the OGP's!! and I will go from there. Will have to pass on that 2104 Basketball Hall of Fame I will purchase the 2014 Basketball hall of fame if you have that one.
  18. Anyone here got a LARGE collection of Uncirculated mint sets for sale?? Looking for a monster load of 1967 to date.
  19. Woods, Coin collecting is very much fun for sure!! The smarter you get, the more time it consumes. Sometimes when life challenges you/WIFE, you just got to lay back for a while and let the tide come in again. We need love in all our relations and coins tend to take our love away from our family and friends. Chill for a bit and love who is around you. See Ya Later!! Rick
  20. Here is a complete list of all the Lincoln's I have available https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/238540/
