If I don't have them done by now............
    Hello all,
I've been really busy doing the homeowner thing and sending a fewcoins to be graded. I can now enter my coins into two registries, but it's tough to compete here. I have a few I wish had been better, but after all, I chose to let PCGS grade them.
I do have a great 1d set. I am hoping for a #1 there. It's tough to compete against NGC dealers. It's even tougher to get honest grading. I may even have to use a few NGC slabs to edge out my competitors......what treachery!
I was lucky enough to have a few of the top pop coins in both, so wish me luck. If I don't make the top set, a #2 will be even better.
I wish I had all the grading fees I wasted this summer. My Canada sets need a little boost.
I hope everyone is rounding the final turn and headed for the deadline. The economy has been a little rough on a few of us. Good Luck to everyone and here's hoping all coins are back by the 10th.
    Happy Holidays to everyone!

I guess you cannot ever be sure of anything?
    Hello everyone!
If you're planning to go to Illinois for the FDOI, 2010, Lincoln cents with the shield reverse.
    FORGET IT!!!
A bag of 5000 is already out, rolled, and being found in circulation.
You may have to go to Puerto Rico instead. That's where they have them. Ebay has them too(so I am told)!
So much for mint security. Just wait until you see a few 2009 PF and MS Eagle pop up. I guess there truly is no honor among anyone......anymore!
Sorry to rain on your parade.
2011 is so far away. Maybe the brain trust in Washington will do away with the penny by then?
My 2010 Silver Eagle is here too. I put imaging in so everyone that cares to look, can see. It looks a lot like the 2009....and the 2008.....etc.
Hopefully your news was better than mine today!

    Check out the difference
    Hello everyone,
I just checked out a set of 2009 Lincoln cents from NGC in PF69.
I bought them from a dealer for less than $40.00. I just looked at them in our relatively rare sunlight. YUK!
My last post has a scan, through the OGP, of a Canadian coin that is flawless. Flawless at 200X, that is.
I am sending it in to be graded. I may send the spare to NGC. If they can do a 69 for a few severely die clashed, plated pot metal, US pennies, I guess a 70 for a silver(.925) will be inevitable. NOT!!!!
I will have to go against my better judgement, but I will have to find someone to submit it for me.
I'll keep you posted on the first one.
I am glad I didn't blow $1,400.00 on a 70 set. Lo ciento mucho to those that did.
Take a close look when you get slabs back........
    Happy Collecting!

I guess it takes a miracle?
    Hello everyone!
I just received my first 70 of the year. It's the 2010 $15 Canada Lunar Lotus, Year of the Tiger. It is absolutely gorgeous. I checked it out and it is flawless for such a high mintage strike. It's number 10507 of 19888.
The RCM has craftsmanship that is unequaled. Their coins show Canadian imagination and beauty. Their subject diversification and commemorative dedication makes them a great choice for collectors. Unlike the US, stuck on eagles and buffalos, they run the gamut with subjects, themes and denominations.
The biggest trouble is, jealousy ruins the grading of these specimens. PCGS and NGC must hate the RCM. The best I seem to do is a 69. Dealers get a token 70 once in a while, but even they take a beating. I didn't mention that my 70 is still raw. I microscoped it at 200X, and it's flawless. I would imagine a 69UC from NGC, and a 68 or 69 DCAM from PCGS.
    WHY? WHY??? WHY???
It's going to PCGS, as they will have a slot for it. Regardless, I am hoping to get a perfect grade. My fist pump is a little rusty after the competition. It would be nice to get a few nice coins early!
Here's hoping you all have a few irons in the fire....I do.
See what you think. I scanned it through the capsule.
I wonder if grading companies do it through the capsule too? That might explain some things.
    Anyway folks.....I'm baaaaaaaaack!

  5. namvette68
The bigger the greed......the bigger the need?
    Hello everyone!
It's all about money. They(eBay) could care less about the coins we buy and sell. I bought raw coins from the best in the business, and also from some I thought to be shady. When they got to the graders, both were junk. So much for selling valid coins through eBay. Graded coins need an obverse and a reverse scan? The serial number is it's verification.....isn't it? Raw coin images can be so fuzzy, you can't tell if it's even a coin.
I hate to have a coin(or anything) lost in the mail. I try to insure everything of mine, as it is mine. If I sell something at auction or whatever, I always offer, and recommend, insurance.
Some buyers question $6.50 for a Priority flat rate box from the Post Office. I tell them to stop by and pick it up. It's free that way.
I recently lost 2 coins from New Zealand. One was destined for the competition, and the other not. The seller had another, and replaced it within a reasonable time. I could not ask for anything better. Ebay and PayPal(mandatory for coins)is not even guaranteed over $50.00 unless sent Registered Mail Insured.
Dean is right. Where does responsibility end? I try to send everything in a Priority flat rate envelope or box. Why? Four reasons. One, it is larger and harder to lose than a small bubblepak mailer. Two. In a larger package, it doesn't look like a coin or coins. Thirdly. I can insure it, get either regular delivery confirmation, or signature confirmation. Fourth...it is fair price to everyone. Click-N-Ship allows for a scan form and free carrier pickup. They scan your package when it leaves your hand. Bingo! Proof they got it.
You can send a customer the tracking number. It sucks when something really gets lost. It's not the money.....it's the item. Not all of us have, or can afford to send, another as replacement.
With all the problems, I still believe eBay is partial to buyers.
They quickly refund money before they even know the facts. We as sellers have to prove authenticity and scan each item for sale. A buyer only has to win, and say they didn't get it, and there goes a spotless reputation. Ebay doesn't drop their(or PayPal) fees if an item is lost either. They've trampled me a few times in the past. Ebay is going to get everything they can out of both parties. They do it for a living.
Let's hope we all pick up a little from everyone involved in this matter. Integrity is the key word. We all can be victimized at any time. Watch those you buy from and those you sell to. I find that low feedbacks and negatives are usually a good indication. The less I deal with eBay, the better I like it.
I like to stay with dealers, even though I have to compete against them here. Reputation is a factor also. I am happy to say that everyone I have dealt with in the Society has been most pleasant and honest.
Let's hope it all turns out OK?
I have a list to make out for Santa
    C'ya

I never thought about this side of the coin.
    Hello All,
A few last minute emails from friends and competitors alike. Thanks for wishing me luck, and to those, and everyone, I wish you all the best this year. A few brought up a category in which we do not enter, yet still get graded. It's the Journals.
    I answered........What???
With all that went down this last year, I'd probably be last in consideration. I do believe some changes were made after all. Maybe the journals did their part?
Some have wondered where I have been in the last few weeks. A little bit working on a few sets and looking for a new home. I've been fortunate with a few grades and disappointed on more than a few.
As for competition, I am done. No more to enter, no more coming back. I did make a few 100% sets I didn't figure on. The next few days I'll be taking it easy in the VA hospital. Nothing serious. They just like to see if I still bleed, red. I like to call it "Project Pincushion." I won't be out until Friday.
May all the effort and hard work be shown, and those deserving be awarded.
    Until Friday

    There is a better way!
    Hello Everyone,
Why, all of a sudden, are we worried what eBay does? They just want the extra $0.15 for the second image. I will only use the obverse of my graded coins for sale. It has all the information, as well as the serial #. If eBay doesn't like it, I'll put it on eBid for free. If you are worried about a particular NGC or PCGS slab's authenticity, there is a place in both grading services to check any slab they have graded. NGC's is on the pulldown of grading and submissions. If you still have any doubts, they both also have excellent CSRs that can either validate, or direct you to someone that can.
I am more worried about counterfeit, or "doctored" coins getting graded. Private mints are doing wonderful work with all the new technology. Buying raw coins, at premium prices, and finding them to be misrepresented, is devastating. It is bad enough to have a genuine coin that cannot be graded. Believe me, I know.
With the guarantee of what's in the slab, I know that both grading companies are subject to human error, and subsequent coin authenticity issues. They are covered by insurance for this. With the problems I've had with grading issues, I am still relatively secure in trusting the major two grading companies with my coins. I also precheck all graded slabs I intend to purchase.

When you buy a slab, check the number. If eBay should do anything, it would be to stop "generic" imaging. The "WYSIWYG" method has always worked in the past for everyone. The other thing is to establish trusted dealers and as always, caveat emptor.
    That's my story.........and I'm stickin' to it.

I can melt all my Eagles now.
    Hello everyone!
We all collect metals taken from the Earth. What is done with them is quite amazing. I've had platinum and gold. I never had a silver bar. I've had aluminum and tin cans. I have worked all year on a pre-decimal penny set from NZ. I chose NZ as no one was interested in a few lousy half silver,cupro-nickel, and copper coins. Ebay had a half page of New Zealand coins and they were extremely cheap. I guess my passion for these unimportant sets caught on. You can tell by all the new sets in the registry and the large number of pages on eBay.
I still say that the average collector has no chance against a dealer in a competition, but rules are rules.
As the deadline approaches, I see the flood into everyone's sets to get organized for the judging. Me too. I have to arrange a few sets that I am so far behind on.
Regardless of the outcome, I have done what I can with the resources I have. I may not be able to hold the #1 sets I have, but, I still have some nice stuff.
If a picture is worth 1000 words, here's one worth at least 25 pounds of .9999 gold. Mintage 10
    Happy Collecting!

There is no such thing........believe me
    Hello all!

    The Holiday season is back.
W.K.F. has a point. Everyone wants to have something nice. A few would go as far as trying to steal it.
I am fortunate to only have a mere $60-$70K in my collection. My friends all know I have it (and where). My collection represents a major percentage of my net worth. If I were to lose it I'd be devastated.
The coins in my small collection, are for me, my son, and my friends to admire. They are somewhat protected by intrusion alert devices, and other, but.........they are not 100% secure.
    There is no such thing!
If someone wants my coins more than I, they will defeat the system, and be gone. If a thief wants your valuables......they'll be gone. Anyone that's ever been on recon or a stakeout will tell you. If a system can be made, it can be defeated. Period!
If you want the ultimate 24/7 protection, send them to the White House. You could also dig a hole and bury them in the front yard of the Department of Homeland Security?
If you can't bear a loss, you might do best to divest.
I find barcodes, serial #s, and insurance are deterrents.
I guess I've had, and lost, more than some others. I love my coins, but after all, they are just coins.
It's like buying a car with a 5 star crash rating. The first thing you do is go out and drive as fast as you can to see if it really works? I don't buy a car to crash it.
As far as the competition goes. I am being a hypocrite. Yes, I am doing what I do not like others doing, but it's for good reason. It's called passion and competition.
You all know my coins are for everyone....friend and foe, alike.
A little over 9 days to go. My sincerest wishes for everyone to present their best for the judging. We have all striven to have the best we could for the deadline.
It will all be history, soon.
    Good Luck to All!

I looked for a nice one , but...........
    Hi everyone!
I hope all enjoyed the Holiday. I have been busy trying to image the missing few in my sets. My NZ 1d set will be ahead by 1 point whenever NGC gets the certification from PCGS. This is going to be a close one.
I wanted to enter my NZ half crowns, but the 1961 wasn't really a beauty. I figure an XF, at best. Rather than waste a grading, I'd wait. Well, I found a lot nicer coin, but a bit too late for the competition.
Oh well. I could have entered the coins I have, but it would be another "also ran" set.
I see by the numbers, a lot of coins are being added this year. With conditions as they are, it is a ray of sunshine. I have been very fortunate to achieve the goal I set last year, and more.
I cannot put myself into anyone else's shoes, but it's like being lined up with John Force for the championship. Sinking a 40 yard putt to win in "sudden death." A 99 yard punt return to win in the last 20 seconds of the Rose Bowl? At what amount of adrenaline does passion change to obsession?
Good Luck to all my friends and competitors.
Here's the start for next year!

  11. namvette68
I wouldn't want to have it graded.
    Hi all again,
Back to the half crown. I'd say it would be a fine (F). 1928 has such a high mintage, there has to be BU/UNC coins available.
The image of the one I did, is a "cupro-nickel" coin. It is BU, and not worth much more than yours. I am sending the obverse of mine to show how much definition there is. Again, I hope this helps.
    Good Luck to everyone.

  12. namvette68
    It's from Great Britain...
    Hi all,
The coin reverse in question is a British half crown. It is KM#835. A half crown measures 32.3 mm.
It weighs 14.138 g. and is .500 silver. The obverse is George V, facing left. The reverse is a quartered shield flanked by monograms.
    The obverse designer: Bertram MacKennal.
It was common coinage for Great Britain, and had a mintage of 18,763,000. It has a book value of $5-$35 US dollars.
It has gone through a few changes from ruler to ruler. The next was a George VI. It was KM# 856, 866, 879, and 893.
Here is a 1961(QEII) half crown reverse as it was until the end. This is KM# 907.
I hope this is some help?
    Good Luck in the competition!

  13. namvette68
This really happens with all this modern technology?
    Hi All,
I just tried to enter the coin I have into the Registry....again.
    Here's what gets kicked back:
We continued to have problems with the following Certification numbers. They have been added to our admin queue to be processed. You will receive notification when processing is complete.
    Slot Cert # Coin Description
1942 ONE DOT ONLY 3324670-001 This is not the best grade, but no one else has it.
The way things are going, I'll take $1000.00 for it.
This coin is still in "scheduled for grading."
We can put a man on the moon and bring him back, but if I had some moon coins, I'd be hard pressed to prove it.
Just remember, this coin isn't graded, it is not in QC, nor finalized/imaged/shipped.
Here's the label that's on the coin that came this morning.
You'd think they'd put more RAM in the Commodore 64. My hard drive is 16 megabytes. Just enough to image.
Have a good one....day that is.
    It's Miller time!
Oh, upper left hand label corner. Bang it on the table?
Notice the 4 line label that they'll only do if they "feel like it". How convenient. Does management know that labor is lazy?
If you got money, you can get your name on it, or even Happy Birthday? I only asked for Set#1 Coin #1, and/or, Coin #958 of 20,000. Nope. They advertise the label has details of the coin for collectors. They advertize about a lot of things. I couldn't pay for it. Wow! Somebody is slipping up. Personally, I don't give a hoot about your birthday.
    I don't collect candles.

  14. namvette68
In my opinion,it's the best for less.
    Hi all!
If I wasn't on W.K.F's iggy list I could offer an option. A few of us, on limited budgets, had the same imaging problems.
I personally bought a Epson, Perfection V300 Photo, scanner.
I got it(new)on eBay for $74.49 shipping included. It isn't like a pro's studio camera, but I am happy with it. Installation is a snap and it will take some shots a Hasselblad never thought of.
Another Society member has a Canon he got at a garage sale for $3.00. It's every bit as good as mine.
I don't play with the colors, just shoot them for slots @ 266 dpi. 300 dpi@ 48 bit color is a tad too much.
If you want a journal image, about 96dpi works.
The nice thing about the scanner is it's the new LED, and it scans to a file directly.
No need to buy my "help." Find out whatever anyone else has to say. Weigh the pros and cons, and make your own choice. Look at other's images and ask.
If in case you do feel indebted, my fee is.........
A new scanner of you choice, and happy imaging. Kids love to do it, and they will usually outsmart you with it. Believe me, I know!
It's just my two cents, from a dumb old man.

  15. namvette68
You know I had to say something........
    Hello all!
I try for short, and to the point, but it often fails.
First, by definition, professionals are not necessarily experts.
Anyone can be a professional. Experts are those that are highly knowledgeable in a certain field. Some experts are not "professionals". Most professionals are not "experts." It's a greed thing.
Next, the crossover thing. I look at coins that are, what they are, and then say......."what if?"
Well, most of you know I sacrificed a PF70 set for crossover to PCGS about 9 months ago. All came back as PF69. The moral of the story?
    LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE!
Most crossover deals wind up like folding with four aces in 5-card stud. You have coins that are yours. Why would you pay to have them degraded? I can send all my "W" quarters in and get them relabeled. Shoot, I can get them reholdered at the same time too. Six digit labels in a new style holder? All it takes is money. I think we used to get things chromed back in the 60's.
Looked great, but didn't run any better.
    That's my humble opinion.
Have a great day and a safe weekend!

  16. namvette68
If I had your money, I could burn mine.
    Hello everyone.
I finally came up with the answer to the silver shortage, and rising heating costs.
I am not sure if it will catch, but it was an idea.
We should all have a little money to burn.

  17. namvette68
At last they finally admit defeat.
    Hello all,
Here's the latest from the Mint.

    Dear United States Mint Customer,
Production of the United States Mint American Eagle Silver Proof and
Uncirculated Coins was suspended this year because of unprecedented
demand for American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins. All available silver
bullion blanks are being allocated to the American Eagle Silver Bullion
Coin Program, as the United States Mint is required by Public Law 99-61
to produce these coins "in quantities sufficient to meet public demand
    ..."
The United States Mint will resume the American Eagle Silver Proof and
Uncirculated Coin Programs once sufficient inventories of silver
bullion blanks can be acquired to meet market demand for all three
American Eagle Silver Coin products. However, due to the continued,
sustained demand for American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins, 2009-dated
American Eagle Silver Proof and Uncirculated Coins will not be
    produced.
    That's all folks!!!
  18. namvette68
It came sooner than I expected.
    Hi everyone!
I was just emailing back and forth, about trying to complete a set, and moving on. Another member and I were wondering where the end was. Well..............
I received my grades from the latest submission, and it's great news. I have the missing slots filled. Numbers are pending still, but they are there. I will do the imaging as soon as they arrive. It's my NZ 3d (three pence) set. It can use some improvements, but it's finally finished.
I have Canadian coins to submit. I may find a dealer to trade a grading or two, for some of my coins, but it will be worth it. Deadlines are fast approaching.
I have some 1999-2004 coins still in the original shipping boxes, unopened. I can't remember what they are. I hope the barcodes help.
Well, I am off to look for just one elusive $20 Canadian proof. I wish NGC would add a few more slots, but I can't afford to grade all I have now.
    Have a great weekend!

  19. namvette68
    There is always a solution.
    Hello everyone!
I got a few emails about negativity. Me?
I want to set the record straight. I deal with facts as they are presented to me. Period. I call them as I see them.
    Here's the latest:
Thanks to Dena, and maybe a few others, who took the time to see there was a "glitch" in the program. The annoying "fly in the ointment," so to speak. People should be recognized for what the do and get done. Too many get praise for what they say they can do.
Dena recognized a solution ,and either initiated it herself, or went to those that could. No excuses, and not any rhetoric. Just plain results. Thank you from here and anywhere else the "glitch" reached.
She may be underpaid, and overlooked by some, but not here.
    THANK YOU DENA!

  20. namvette68
My details graded coins are still "scheduled for grading?"
    Hello everyone,
I guess I will never get them done. They are already temporarily entered into slots, but big deal. If I try to sell then, no one can check the numbers in the Registry.
I guess when you have a valid dispute, it is countered like this. I bet they get cleared before subscription renewal.
I see the minute the KM-13A disappeared, everyone wants to have a set. Howard Mitchell says, all it takes is common sense to see the difference. Boy, did he nail that? He also said it would perplex graders, as they have never seen one. He also has never seen a "fake" coin. I guess the grading companies should employ his, or Krause's, expertise. The only other alternative is to wait for the grading community to catch up to common sense. It's like Military Intelligence?
Next case is the 1992 $15 Canada Olympic proof pair. I have all the coins that exist for that year, but I gave up trying to find the "plain edge" variety. 1998 series $20 coins were done, but no 1992. Check Krause. No mention of them at all. Only the 10 in the 1998 set. Yes, 10. There are more than the Registry requires. I should be so lucky to have that run.
I see a few nice old coins in the last couple of journals. Nice extinguisher too! Great finds and good prices(I hope.)
I am slowing down on coins. I have acquired enough to finish one small set. I have the coins to submit, but too cautious to try.
I have more than adequate numbers of "details grading" coins now.
It's amazing how a dealer submission gets an MS63 with green all over it, and my BU comes back in purple.
To expensive to be doing it.
I hope you all find the coins you are looking for. I hope audrop is fortunate to finish one set. He has a heftier challenge than I.
Good luck and have a great weekend!

  21. namvette68
    It must be nice.
    Hello everyone!
I just got through looking at a submission by a dealer. I'm glad to see that 50% of his coins were rejected for the rubber stamp issues. Some of those graded are bad. If I had a hint of green, I'd get the "ED" label. I wonder how many he submitted as a UNC were graded as AU? Shoot, he had to pay for something. I guess the don't have to pay for anything ungradable. If they send in 100 coins, you know they'll get some percentage good grades. They don't pay for the rest. I have nothing against dealers. I know there are quite a few in here. What I don't like is that NGC doesn't charge for the rejects. If you sent in US sets, you can specify no grades lower than say a 69. You pay X for the 69s, and 5 bucks more for a 70. I could build some great Canadian sets if I sent them all in, and said nothing lower than a 70. I would have a good percentage of graders then. If you haven't noticed, only the dealers have the 70s? Makes me say hmmmmmm?
To be fair to the non-dealer collectors, I think it's time to make another Category. Let the dealers compete against each other. The submissions would increase then. Let us non-dealer compete at our level. It's like an "Everyman" collection, only middle class. If I could buy and grade at wholesale levels, I'd have a few more sets, and upgrade the sets I have.
I guess the old addage about"Money talks and......., holds true here too. It is like my high school days. We had a scrimmage against the NY Giants.......duh? Robustelli hit me so hard, I thought I was dead. Size is might. I just wish I could afford to send in 30 coins at a time.
I'm happy with my coins. They are all bought at retail.
I still hold a few aces though.
    Good luck to all.

  22. namvette68
If I were to sell them, I could buy eBay.
    Hello all!
I have a 1945 NZ 1d Proof Penny. There were 10 minted. Someone broke it out of Daddy's collection and spent it. Sure there are a few nicks, like bag marks, but it still has all the original luster. It is now in a purple slab as a "polished" coin. I guess I have to send in my 1995 W Silver Eagle for regrade? I thought it was proof, but it's only polished. My whole Silver Eagle proof set would all come back as polished.
    Sorry Rick....I win!
With 1 of the 10 now in a slab, it is the only one in the world.
The PayPal fee would be over $35,000.00. Of course you'd have to cover the eBay FVF. Say another 20 grand? The best part about buying my coin? I'll deliver it by armed guard.
On another note, the dastardly KM-13A has been eliminated from the Registry. I am taking them to a ANA Life member that has a burnished coin collection. He'll know just by looking.
Second note. The 1992 $15 Canada Olympic pair has no "plain edge" variety. J&M, Colonial, Citadel, and several others have never seen one. Krause-Mischler doesn't list them either. Only four of the 1988 $20.00 Olympic coins were plain edge. Those ARE listed. As soon as the penny thing wears off, I'll take my plea to Amy, and see if I can get this error eliminated also. If an existing coin can be deleted, two non existent coins should be no problem. At $40-$50 per coin, this pair got expensive too. I got plenty of them. Trades always welcome. Nobody but me even has a set started. I just hate incomplete sets. If anyone collecting Canadian wants to petition Amy about the 1992, I would appreciate it. I think I am getting on her nerves, Believe me, it's not on purpose. At least now, others can make a set. Bring it on. I like the competition.
Oh.......when I replace all the purple coins, I may give them away. That won't break any rules here.....will it? Sorry, no variety coins get more than a VF grade.
    Have a great weekend!

From coin collector to junk collector.
    Hello all!
I guess the purple craze is catching on. Some of us figured it would be the easy way out on coins that deserve a grade. It looks like incompetence, or backlog, mandates a speedier way of getting coins on their way.
I'd rather wait a month to get an honest grade. I didn't mind NGC's, 10-12 days for a grade. What I do mind is sending a proof coin to have an ugly fingerprint removed(done well), and
having it come back as a "polished" coin. I didn't like sending a UNC, die crack error, to be graded, and it comes back as AU, and "excessive surface hairlines." It didn't get the label for the obvious die crack either. What I mind is sending five variety coins to NCS for evaluation, then seeing them come back as junk. Incorrect labels, different colored slabs, charges for coins they refuse to grade? Then you get half the points for it. Makes sense to me too!
NGC has slots in the Registry for non-existent coins. You start a set, spend thousands of dollars, many hours of research, to find there is no such coin. When you do find a coin that does exist, you are told "it's too tough to grade?" That makes no sense to me. Now you get to pay more for the combined services too.
As soon as I get my next set done, I can replace the "toe tagged" wonders.
I am tired of looking for "good" coins. Why bother when you can get anything and everything slabbed now?
From Intercept Shield to a shoebox.
I thought settlers were the ones that made this country what it is. I hope it doesn't catch on here.
    Here's an example of ED.

    I follow Dilbert and coffee?
    Hi all,
You guys are too nice. I am truly flattered.
I am impressed that I am becoming a household tradition. Coffee,Dilbert, and NGC journals. I guess I have to compete with Dilbert? I really do appreciate all of you sending mail.
A few have voiced concern about some matters. Everything will work out.
To those asking about the changed label, I added the best image I can post in a journal. The coin that's on the label is strangely outside the slab.
For those of you on a treasure hunt, aka wild goose chase, you now can see what you are looking for. The elusive and impossible to identify NZ KM13-A penny. I may do a side by side shot for tomorrow's journal. That will be with the other non-gradable burnished coin.
I wish I could afford to send my $5 Braille. I can see it now.
MS65 Details Grading, excessive surface hairlines. It was made like that, so they'll be right on. I am still mumbling to myself about the 1945 PF or PL coin that was toe tagged "POLISHED."
I wonder if old man Krause, or any of his "experts" are still alive? He, or his cronies, say there was a proof coin that year(1945). I guess it would be impossible for me to get one? It was submitted as such, but now it's just a polished coin.
Anyone remember wooden nickels? I bet they purple slab them too.
I dug out my raw Canada coins tonight. Twenty two pounds of silver. Greywolf should start trembling. All proofs, and all PF69 Ultra Cameo. There are no 70s for Canada. Oh, there is an exception. I am not it.
They do have some beautiful $20 coins. Their mintage is less than the 1995 W proof Silver Eagle. The respect they get is even less too. Hey......according to definition, a 69 is a perfect coin to the eye.
Eyeball this image and you be the grader. This one isn't rocket science.
    Good night everyone.........good night Dilbert.
