Melt? 27_laughing.gif Do you know how tiny and thin these are? You'd be lucky to buy lunch with the melt value of these. smile.gif

This is a fairly common California Fractional Gold. It's probably worth ~$75 in the current condition. Problem free unc examples sell for ~$300.

Melt on this would be about $17 (0.0241875 oz. of gold).
Does that take into account the hole which may have removed a significant amount of gold during the procedure? wink.gif

Don't forget about the wear. AU50 looks a little liberal of a grade. Lots of gold rubbed off.

And my Pollo Loco lunch cost me $10.03 today, so I'm not that far off. wink.gif

Just go with it. I had an old 1921 holed that I was just going to sell at melt. One day, I found a gold chain I had stuck back, thought about the coin, and a quick trip to the jeweler came up with this.

Only problem is, I do not have the chest hairs and a surfer shirt to wear it and show it, so for now, it sits and waits........

Maybe Austin Powers needs a new "Necky"

I think if you bid on it you bought it. People who bid and then flake out suck.

I agree - they have a return policy but I figured I bid its mine
