James_OldeTowne
I just sold this coin - looks almost like it's struck on a copper planchet!

EZ_E
I really like this coin, Mike. I still need one. I got a AU58 once but returned it because it had cleaning compound gunk embedded around the devices/lettering and retoned. NGC slabbed it but I have no idea why. EZ_E
Nice coin, Paul! I definitely need to upgrade my FE at some point. It is just XF, but original.
TomB
There's nothing wrong with an original EF FE cent!
rexcat
Thanks Victor, Always good coming from a fellow type collector. I've seen a few good looking FE cents in MS63 slabs around since I bought mine, so they are out there. Prices were about $600 and I've seen MS64s for around $1200. I just ordered a PR63 1915 Barber quarter from Pinnacle Rarities to replace/substitute the 1892 PR64Cameo that I've seemed to have lost or misplaced. Will post images later. I hope that it's a keeper.

TomB
Hey, Lee, it looks like Ms Liberty got into a fight with that shiner she has! Here's another 1857 copper, but the coin is nicer than my initial attempts to image it.

ldhair
Great image and coin RGT. I love it. What would you grade it?
TomB
That's a nice little coin, RGT. Here's another. The slab is scuffed, which makes the coin look mushy when in reality it is not.
RGT
My 1857 is graded MS64 by NGC, which I think is correct. Tom, I still need that one for my set. I notice a lot of these have a weak strike at the base of the shield and the upper left of the wreath. Looking for well struck ones keeps me closer to staying in my budget. Here's my 1872-S. Not the mostly lovely coin, but original.

WinstonWare
Nice one Bruce Do you know why the coin is toning more near the rim? I always assumed that coins that had this look toned more on the edges because the edges were nearest the edge of the album/folder/mint set. So I don't know why the napkin coin is doing that
