Fantastic Walker.

Do you have a link to your

Registry set ? I'd love to look

at your collection - especially

if they looked like that one !!

I've been adding nicely struck mid grade MS Standing

Liberty Quarters forming another collection of my favorite

design [ yes, the SLQ is my favorite design; the Barber

coins are my favorite complete series ].

Here's a nice 1928-D SLQ in a Rattler - 1st Gen. Holder -

MS 64 with decent head detail; although not as nice

as my old PCGS 66FH - it certainly considerably

less than the 66FH !!

Thanks Walkerfan... I thought it looked pretty good myself.

I also stumbled across this coin on eBay as well - and it

was a Best Offer / BIN - so - I was notified this afternoon

that my offer was accepted. Again, an almost FH - and

most of the head's details.

Thank you all for the kind words. I had to trade a 1940 in 67* and a pile of cash to get it. The coin is a pleasure to look at whether it's head on or at any angles. A rush of luster and some super pleasant waves of color collide. The strike is hammered to boot, You can her fingernails lol

I don't have a registry set and I really didn't plan to have one. That I guess could always change as I get closer to completion. Getting real close on the late date set and have a ways to go on the short set.

The fedgling set is made of of mostly 66 and 67 with mad color and most NGC coins are star desighnated, I find Walkers to be beautiful works of arts and difficult to find with over the top color and lustre so its been a long work in progress trying to secure them.,

I've been in negotiations with a friend regarding his 1920-S SLQ,

and as I know the date in FH is prohibitively expensive, I'm thrilled

to be able to add this almost FH to my newest collection.

Sorry for the small images - its a glitch with my system and Photobucket.

I plan on having all my SLQ's professionally imaged once the set has a few

more coins in it. Its only about 45% complete so far.

Very happy about this coin cracked out of anacs holder MS-67.

I knew that the coin wouldn't come back ms67 but it cost over $100 to get

this coin in ms66. I paid $30 for the coin in the anacs holder!!

Bought these to keep my set updated!!

I found this one on teletrade and I just couldn't pass it up.

I have searched tons of mint sets and rolls and I have

never seen one so clear with sharp detail.

Elbesaar-That 29-d is great, albeit some softness around the ear, it is 75% full head. Rivets look real good excect one on the very highest point. the creamy, original mint luster of this coin and the unabraded fields make it look awesome. Very good OGH pickup! :applause: OGH coins tend to be more original, IMHO.

That 20-s looks to be struck a tad better and also has great luster and fields with very good eye appeal. I think they are both fantastic SLQs and thanks for posting them; I enjoyed it & never get tired of looking a SLQs.

Congrats Jason, that's purty! (thumbs u I was looking at a couple of those Mercs that Shane had up for grabs, but my wallet has been run over by a condition called collect-o-mania, so unless there appears something from my want list I gotta' hang on until at least 1/1/11 for a pickup. (shrug)

Believe me Sy, my wallet is hurting as well. But I've wanted an embossed holder for a very long time, and when I saw a nicely toned Merc in one for a reasonable price, I just had to snap it up. Its kind of an accidental set, but when I see attractive Mercs for a decent price, I've been picking them up here and there: http://coins.www.collectors-society.com/registry/coins/SetGallery.aspx?PeopleSetID=94704

Nice coins everyone. It seems like it's been forever since I purchased a coin. :gossip: I removed a bunch of odds and ends from the comic room and put them on ebay. Hopefully, I will be able to purchase a nice coin next week. :wishluck:

WOW!! Wonderful looking Lincoln!! (thumbs u (thumbs u

Oh my good Lord, what at incredible coin. I quoted Jaime's post because I actually said WOW! out loud when it came up on my screen.

Now Bob, I want to see your photograph of that coin in comparison to the Truview photo. Come on, give us some eye candy please.

That might be the finest toned proof Lincoln I have ever seen! It occurs to me that this coin has just evoked a Boiler coin reaction.
